Entrance to Fiesta Bay Boardwalk

Batman: The Ride overview.

The ride doesn't have the relentless intensity of the Intamin ZacSpin, but is still thrilling enough to be a popular ride.

The ride is marketed by S&S as an option with a compact, narrow footprint.

Returning to the station.

The last curve has the final brakes.

The rotation is completely random and depends on the weights of riders etc.

The cars can't physically turn about the yaw axis, so the layout is stacked with vertical curves.

Small dips and hills also get the seats flipping.

However, flipping of the seats is "encouraged" by circular magnets on the cars and copper fins on the track. These "snag" on the cars with magnetic forces, creating unbalance which is good for flipping.

Unlike other S&S 4D coaster which use a mechanical system to rotate the seats, this ride has them on pivots that allow them to just flip freely by the forces and gravity, much like an Intamin Zacspin coaster.

A consequence of the face to face seating is that for half the ride you are back to back.

A vertical lift hill brings the vehicle to a height of 36m.

A vehicle leaving the station, giving us a good look at all the mechanicals.

The control booth. Why does it look like a caravan park cabin? Why isn't it all industrial and Gotham looking?

Eventually you reach the station. Each vehicle holds 8 people, face to face. A pusher bar on the side of the track rotates the seats back prior to departure so your feet are clear of the floor. Riders are held in by snug rubber vest restraints.

A few more CAD drawings of Batman vehicles are along the queue.

A double sided locker area is here before you continue onto the main outdoor queue.

You emerge outdoors again past a parked batmobile. It's interesting they have gone for such an old rendition of the batmobile on a ride which opened in 2015.
