  1. Oh ok cool. Turns out my girlfriend already booked tickets for dreamworld somehow, so definatley going there. And you think Movieworld is a better option than SeaWorld? Thanks for the help!
I would recommend going to Movie World because the rides are better. Sea world is good if you like animals but the Aquarium and Skyway are closed. Definitely do what themeparkgc said and go to Whitewater World for an hour or two and in the evening go to illuminate.
  2. I went today, I thought the Wedgie was pretty good but there were a couple of problems. When i got to the top of the stairs and there were six people in front of me the ride broke down. The "platform" got stuck and I waited there for 15 minutes for someone to arrive and show the lady how to fix it. Then it happened two more times before my turn by this time she knew what to do. Another problem is when someone is wearing a watch they have to send it down after them in a bag. Capacity seems to be very bad, it took about an hour waiting in line for a two second ride but I have to agree it was a fun ride. I thought illuminate was good at the start but by the end there was barely anyone there. Overall I thought the show was repetitive and boring. They could have done something better.

  3. I was there on Tuesday, and on a the 3 rides we had on it, there was no audio on the boats. These were all on seperate boats also, so I am suprised to hear that the audio was functioning for you. I can forgive the pre-show not being done the way it was, I can also forgive the lack of character in the Cast Members, what was not forgivable was no audio on the boats, the numerous effects/ screens and lighting not functioning and the replacment for the fire. For the record, the fire was a great asset to the ride, however I don't care if it's gone really, as great as it was. It's replacment is what really gets me.
Last Tuesday was the first time I got a boat with sound and the first time I watched the pre-show! I have to say the speakers were way too loud. All the effects were working but when I went today the work lights were on, there was no sound and none of the effects worked. None of the aliens moved, projectors/tv's all had a still image on them and the water effects (when you go backwards) weren't working ect. I think $70 is a rip-off to go to a theme park with just 4 majour rides. There were two tourists sitting in front of me who obviously never went on the ride before and I heard them talking about how 'shit' the bermuda tringle was...
Jet Rescue's steam effects are currently not in operation.
When I went today a saw that the steam effect has started working again.
  4. The last time I went to Movie World, I brought a 1 hour locker for Superman Escape. The queue was OVER a hour long, so I asked the lady if I could get into my locker after my ride and she said YES and that I wouldn't have to pay any extra. I got off the ride after 90 minutes of waiting (Scooby Doo had it's line in the old gremlins queue that day) I went to the lady to open my locker as it had expired. Someone from Guest Services came down after 25 minutes of waiting for her. Only to have the operator at the entrance of the ride DENY she told me I could still access my locker for free after my ride. I then paid 8 dollars to get my stuff out and be lectured by guest services about the locker policy and how it is only for "riding patrons and not to be used for the whole day"
The second last time I went to Movie World I went to hire a locker but I had a ten dollar note. I asked a staff member where to get change and they said there was no change machines. I walked over to a shop and asked for changed and she refused. I had to buy a tomato sauce to get change for the locker. This kind of service is pathetic. They seem to just be trying to get as much money as possible.
  5. Wow, What a waste of time and energy. Who would want to see the sets of some shitty disney film?
I went all the way to Universal Studios to see the Pirates of the Caribbean sets. I would love to see the sets of a Disney film again, or any other company's film sets for that matter.
  6. mm find that hard to believe as my whole family purchased vip passes through myfun when they were first released, in our household we have about three registered my fun users and none of us were emailed. Also i have seen tv commercials with wally lewis or whoever stating 'due to popular demand' etc but it didnt state in the ad there was no longer a blackout period, it just didnt mention it at all. I just assumed it was in the tiny writing at the bottom. you might be right, however i believe they are keeping quiet about it to keep numbers slighly reduced.
I got an SMS from them and an email.
