The western side of the Giant Drop has been in testing the last couple of days and is currently sitting at the top of the tower, so it seems that they have resolved the issue they were having with the cables.

The "Catch Car" at the top is been used as a platform to stand on whilst the works on the cables are undertaken.

  2. TRRR is a "High Level" meaning only senior ride operators are allowed to operate it, its also a "Major" attraction meaning that every staff member responsible for the ride is highly trained and has to work very hard to get picked to operate the attraction. Inexperienced staff is defiantly not the case, but the amount of staff at the attraction is something that wasn't very thought out, the attraction was running at 2 staff usually, defiantly not the smartest.

Forgot to mention in my RHLR review the other day.. strange occurance..

guy in the group in front of me was wearing a baseball cap, and a go pro with the head strap over the cap.

Now I thought “oh for sure they’ll tell him to remove the go pro”. But nope, the ride attendant tells him, once he is already in the boat, “sorry mate, no hats allowed” so he off comes his hat and the go-pro, and then the ride op says “oh you can keep the go pro on your head mate, just not the hat”

    hmm...

Yes Family Attractions allow Filming Devices, As long as it's not done in a stupid way.
