  1. This is great for koalas....for guests though??

They need to think of the bigger pictures, parks that are successful with this kind of wildlife conservation area, for example Ocean Park Hong Kong (bar all controversy, just the first park that came to mind), do well because they offer both wildlife experiences and a heck of a lotta rides!

Just my opinion but I think this would fair better at places like Australia Zoo or Lone Pine Sanctuary where the animal experience is the experience! Or Dreamworld could you know, open some rides, say Sky Voyager and bring the public back with two new exciting things, a ride and a wildlife area. But I'm probably being too negative so ignore me!!

Based on facebook reactions, there are several sentiments out there:

    • Pleased
    • Apathetic
    • Critical that the park can't open a ride after 4 months
    • Jokes about shady seating
    • Jokes about using magic to make rides disappear, or appear.

I wouldn't agree that the consensus is 'pleased' overall.

Well at the time of me writing that post it was a lot of people tagging friends and generally being excited. Now at this time I see the angry faces are edging there way in. So I blame the cruel passage of time on my previous post 😅

  3. Well the general public seem to be pretty pleased with the announcement of Cosentino (based on Facebook reactions and comments so far).

But will this result in bums in seats for Dreamworld? Oh actually I'm sorry, the problem is that there's too many bums and not enough seats not the other way around, my bad!

Dreamworld's ride page still has it "Coming this Summer"

SkyVoyager is not in the site map which still has Thunder River Rapids listed. (leads to a deleted page)

Wow the poor head of marketing (and marketing team) must be having the biggest headache right now.

    It's opening, it's not opening.
"We need footage for this Gold Coast tourism campaign"

    "Does that mean it's opening?"

    "Don't be ridiculous!"

"But won't that confuse the wider audience who don't follow theme park updates as to the actual status of the ride?"

"I find I sleep better at night if I don't think about it..

    LIKE C'MON!

But leaving TRR in the site map is just kinda poor form. Got to wonder if the marketing team were told to keep it there for whatever reason. If not, it's just shows the marketing team don't update their site frequently enough or they have no one spot checking it for things like this.
