what's top hat? BTW, how can be rocketcoaster only 40m tall!? Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar point is 128m tall.RCDB appear to have added a couple of things ,according to them the ride will feature a top had that reaches a height of 40m, (equal to cyclone and 6.3 taller that LW) and the ride will open in October. Not sure of their sources, but if its true then this sounds pretty good and It would make it the second tallest Accelerator with inversions. Another thing to add, the Top hat would probably need to be a Kanonen style top hat where the twist is incorporated with the arch because Storm runner was pretty much at the limit of being able to have the twist and arch seperate whist keeping lateral Gs in check. offtopic: Why doesn't DW buy land in the east of the park?
-
What's in the place where thunderbolt used to be?
-
Reptar is a family rollercoaster. And even if 4D would be an eyesore it's great thrill ride. But floorless, standup, flying and similar would be great too.I would hate to see a 4d coaster at Dreamworld. They're such an eysesore. They already have a launched coaster, and an Inverted coaster would be too similar to Reptar. What Dreamworld could really do well with would be a floorless, standup,or flying IMO. -
I think than DW needs at least 2 more rollercoasters (stand up, suspended looping, 4D, launched, flying, boomerang,...) and few REAL thrill rides (like The claw).

There's enough space for x.

What kind of special effects show was this?

From this picture I see that if they cut down some forrests around and buy this land, they could expand the park, but not sure.I've attached the article. -
I haven't been on 4D coaster yet but I think that I'd like it.
-
Good idea. I don't know why it didn't already exist before tycoons like lemonade and pizza tycoon.

fancy :cool:Scott, here's a pic of a floorless train. http://www.coastergallery.com/1999/medusa10.jpg -

What kind of rich bastard you are? I don't have enough money to travel by bus (about 10 hours driving) to German amusement parks.Cedar Point in Ohio. Sound likes the biggest theme park you could ever want, I have been there 4 years but cant remeber much. Is it even possible to ride all the decent roller coasters and thrill rides there in one day. I mean 73 rides overall and 16 roller coasters  -
Blue Tornado (Gardaland, Italy): 5 times (photo: http://www.avato.org/Nuovo%20sito/images/blue03.jpg ) Magic Mountain (Gardaland, Italy): 6 times (photo: http://digilander.libero.it/idste/magicmountain.jpeg ) that's all

It really is a nice park. Expecially scenery.Looks alright from he map.Looks like a nice park -
The only amusement park I visited in my life was Gardaland in Italy (This is my nearest amusement park) and it's smaller than DW (I think), it has only 2 rollercoasters, but it's still popular and I like to visit it. DW is bigger than gardaland but I think it could be bigger. My Advice to You.............Go live near Six Flags Magic Mountain..........and..............get your self a season pass -
My idea is to build some kind of rollercoaster (inverted or non-invertet), but must be something special, not just classic steel rollercoaster. maybe something like this: http://oneclick.coasterbuzz.com/photos/eur...lverstar_11.jpg (EuropaPark in Germany). Don't know if there is ebough space to build as many rollercoasters as in big USA and west-europe amusement parks.

wow... well thats a really big difference. 4 rollercoasters in biggest amusement park in city like Gold coast with a lot of tourists. Not mentioning that just 2 rollercoasters in dw are really thrill rides. DW is a nice park with nice themeing but it needs more thrill rides. Hope this will bi fixed soon in massive expansion.No. Actually, Dreamworld has 4 roller coasters. Tower of terror, Runaway Reptar, Cyclone and the Eureka Mountain Mine Ride (gee what a mouthful). -
If it's really that successfully they should invest "some" money in new rides, expecially rollercoasters. Maybe I'm annoying with rollercoasters requests but I really want bigger dw.
-
OMFG... I looked on Cedar point web-site.... Dreamworld is really junior park... Cedar point has 17 rollercoasters and dreamworld 3.

!?!?!? Australia in a SMALL country !?!?!? I't true that it's small continent but Australia is Giant and rich country with lots of tourists. There's enough room and money to build amusement park even bigger than SFMM.Hmmm,it"s a pitty that Dreamworld will never be great as Richard said, but Australias a small country and you have to remember that.It can"t support parks much larger than Dreamworld. -
The solution is in building brand new amusement park, I guess if there's not enough place for big rollercoasters... Gold coast deserves more.I read this in the bulletin a couple weeks back but wasnt that impressed I mean I could be wrong but it sounds like there expanding for a local commuinty rather then making it a international destination, and they dont really talk about adding rides. Its still a good move as I can see Dreamworld becoming more of a family parks and Movieworld becoming more of the Knotts Berry Farm type park from rumors I have heard. anyway lets wait and watch before making any final judgement. -
Yes... this is the main problem. Hope they will solve it in this "massive expansion".Not enough room at this stage for a Big 4D Coaster.
