  1. Any building needs to be maintained. The rides need daily maintenance when in operation and SBNO rides that receive no attention do not improve in condition sitting next to a beach in a salty climate. My point wasn't the condition of the structure it was that it would make sense to take it down slowly in a controlled environment.

  2. I would imagine the demolition of a 15+ mtr tall volcano that sits in the middle of 4 major attractions wouldn't be something that is going to be taken lightly. No one in their right mind is going to just crash a bulldozer into it and hope it falls where it is without knowing the condition. It sat for 2 years without being touched so I can imagine it wasn't the most stable of buildings. Demolitions are things that would be planned out and done in stages as we have seen thus far...

  3. So it seems that it is closed for an extended period to allow demolition of Bermuda Triangle. And so it probably means that next time it has an extended period of closure with no work going on we know that a BM replacement is on the way!

wrong. if anything would be closed for a bermuda demolition/replacement it would be flume (runs through bermuda) or jet rescue (perimeter fence is partly made of the volcano.) BT has no bearing on Sea Viper
  4. Probably irrelvant and no need to mention it but the Mick Doohan Motocoaster is closed for maintenance from 15 June with no conclusion date. When I was up at the Gold Coast couple of months ago, I noticed the Motocoaster closed without being scheduled. Is this a poorly maintained or badly designed/run ride? Well it is badly designed in some way - not the 'thrill' ride I was expecting lol. Or (even though to me its unlikely) is something happening in that area? But there was probably no need to mention this - Motocoaster to me doesnt make much difference open or closed lol.

same maker as jet rescue i believe which has downtime every now and again..
  5. But isn't that 3 rides? And really with BT gone that only leave Sea Viper, the kids area the monorail and skyway and a adventure playground. I guess they are trying to push the people to see the animals first, but I could see some guests upset that they couldn't get to do what they want when they want, after-all when you pay $70 to get in you expect to be all up and running and I'm guessing this would leave some guests unsatisfied which not good for the park, company or the return rate of these guests.
sea viper was also closed for maintenance and skyway closed as well with signs saying due to high winds.
