In lieu of a midcourse brake run (As commonly seen on large coasters) the ride features a very long sloping set of brakes, It's purpose is to allow the train behind to enter the course while giving the train ahead time to be loaded and unloaded. The height of it also allows the track to pass over Dragon Fire.
The turn on the left brings the train around to the final brakes.
The control system for the Trim Brakes
Trim brakes (along with queues) are often considered the bane of a coaster enthusiasts existence. Their purpose is to regulate the speed of the train through the course so G-forces are kept to the target limit.
Following the turnaround is a quick low to the ground turn, and another big hill.
A turnaround signifies the midpoint of the ride.
Another look at that airtime hill.
The next element is a low to the ground "speed hill" (seen to the left of the exit sign), followed by a full sized airtime hill.
After the first drop and tunnel the train whips around an elevated turn.
The first drop goes straight into a tunnel.
The 93.3m high lift hill.
The entrance statement and station building.
Leviathan was the first coaster by Bolliger & Mabillard to break the 300ft barrier, putting the ride into the "Giga Coaster" category.
Inside the mountain you'll encounter a mock dragon.
Guests ride in a runaway train.
Thunder Run is a powered coaster that weaves in and out of Wonder Mountain.
The brief outdoor coaster section leads indoors, where guests shoot at targets on 3D screens from laser guns mounted on the cars.
