The 'Mariner' is Helens knight in shining armour, and fights the Deacon to protect her.
Helen, an Atoller returns with a bag of pure dirt to show her fellow citizens...She has discovered Dryland! But the evil leader of the Smokers, the Deacon shows up to try and kidnap Helen, force her to reveal ihe location of Dryland and claim it for himself.
The show focuses on the Attol dwellers and the evil 'Smokers'.
The arena has 3 classes of seating, dependign on how wet you'll get. Blue seats will leave you soaked, green seats mayleave you damp, and red seats will leave you dry.
As you enter, there are display cabinets, presumably of costumes from the film.

The setting of the show is an 'Attol', an artifical floating island made from scrap, where people live.
The wating area is filled with salvaged debris, adapted as tools and machines to help people live in this post apocalyptic world.
Based on the 1995 Waterworld film, the setting of the show is on a future planet earth, where the polar icecaps have melted, inundating the continents.

Waterworld is the largest show at Universal Studios Singapore.
Bollywood meets Hollywood at this retro style stand selling Indian pratas.
Mels also has a small stage near by, with the occasional performance of 50s rock.

The restaurant serves Burgers, Fries, Shakes, Hot Dogs and so forth.
As seen at the other Universal parks, Mels Dine In makes an appearance.
There's a second theatre near the Hollywood/New York threshold, not a real one you can enter though.
