Alton Towers was aquired by Merlin Entertainments recently. The group was already an aquarium operator, which has seen one their Sea Life center concepts make it's way into Alton Towers.
What can you see inside here?
This crypt contains a classic horror attraction effect, peppers ghost.
...But some is quite interactive. Step on these graves and they certainly have something to say!
Some of the theming is passive...
Haunted hollow makes use of a previously closed route through the park, turning it into an outdoor interactive walk through.
Other than the heap itself, the rest of the area is just play equipment.
It's a relaxing ride for families.
The station.
It is a Super Dragon...essentially an enlarged version of a Wacky Worm/Big Apple coaster.
Beastie is currently the oldest coaster in the park.
And the animals are quite realistic.
The ride is a unique farmyard themed carousel.
It's strictly kids only out on the track, but there are plenty of places for parents to keep watch.
