Carousel & Volare from above.
Not letting any space go to waste, the Freaky Frogs ride occupies space in the middle of the helix.
The helix has a bit of kick on the reverse trip!
The train then rushes backwards through the circuit.
An array of friction wheels grab the train and continue to push it to the top of the track.
The train then heads up the 2nd incline, parallel to the first.
The train zooms around a helix.
Next comes a small hump and dive.
The first turn of Boomerang speeds around the perimeter of Cloud Nine.
Cloud Nine is a simple spinning ride
The flat section at the top is enough to hold most of the train. The train gently glides to a stop and seamlessly changes direction to accelerate back down the hill.
The train is reversed up this incline via drive tyres.
Guests take a seat in the train, which comfortably seats adults and kids alike, and are confronted with this view.
Interestingly, the park has opted for electronic lockers for item storage, though the operator controls them rather than guests using the usual touchscreen terminal. These were not in use at the time of our visit however.
Not a bad view.
The station building.
The entrance to the ride is fairly nondescript, tucked away in the back corner of the park.
Rather than travelling around a full circuit, the train is reversed up a slope, then sent back down to travel through the course.
Boomerang is Australia's first family shuttle coaster.
A neat little detail: the propeller spins.
