A turn brings the train back to the station, and the final brake.
There's one last hill behind the helicopter, leading into brakes which wash off most of the speed.
There's a 2nd hill, with less airtime, and more twisting, and then a turn, and an even smaller hill underneath.
Dropping from the first hill is this forceful left turn.
Out of the launch is a sweeping right turn and an airtime hill.
You can see the point at which the launch cables enter into the winch room.
When the lights turn green you are off and racing.
Despite no inversions there are over the shoulder harnesses.
The station features separate load and unload areas, with rotating storage units between them.
The control booth is in this helicopter, which seems a bit awkward both aesthetically, and ergonomically for the operator.
Trains are accelerated to 100 km/h in around 2 seconds using a hydraulic cable launch system, where they then negotiate a series of high speed turns and hills.
The station building.
The entrance. It's themed around a desert off-road rally.
Desert Race is an Intamin accelerator coaster.
The first two inversions.
Like all of the older attractions at the park, there's some lovely detailing and rock work.
The ride has a single train, and completes at least a couple of laps of the course each cycle.
Emerging from the enclosed section you are back at the station.
