The main street buildings all typically have fogged windows and little chunks of mock snow in corners and on steps and ledges.

Ice Skating is available at $5 for 15 minutes.
Seeing this lit up after dark should be amazing.

Batwing Spaceshot maintenance...not so amazing.  The ride has since reopened

Food and Retail news

The big news on the food and beverage front at Movie World is the opening of the second Ben and Jerry's scoop shop in Australia (The first was at Bondi Beach in Sydney).

The brand originates in the US, and specialises in rather rich and unique ice cream varieties.

The decor is inviting...
Milk bottles, cute!
The makeover of Gotham City Cafe.  Since this photo was taken it has reopened
Those suffering cat-burger withdrawal symptoms can now get their fixs.
A new outlet has is under construction between 'Take 1 Photography' and the 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Candy Store' According to the latest council application, it's a "Frozen Coke Outlet".
It appears to match the art deco look of Take 1.

As the sun sets, White Christmas comes to life....

Movie World's first extra charge White Christmas has finished.  Unsure about how the numbers would pan out, the park gave VIP holders free tickets to the event.  The response was overwhelming, so much so that the park added an extra night, and ran it's Christmas events during the day to satisfy the crowds.
Journey to Center of the Earth was replaced by Polar Express, a 15 minute retelling of the movie.
Also popular was the Christmas buffet at Rick's Cafe
WB Kids meanwhile has been given a rather whimsical lighting makeover.
Shimmering Tree of Awesome.
Small touches still abound, particularly pleasing was the Christmas lights spelling ACME.
The other rides also got into the act.
Ice Skating in the main plaza.
Of course one of the other highlights of the event were the lights on Main Street.
All of the buildings were dressed for the holidays, some elegant and light on...
...others covered top to bottom with coloured lights...
...While others were somewhere in between.
Hopefully they'll all look this good next year.
Goodnight from Warner Brother's Movie World!

Overall, it was a great event, with many more entertainment offerings which we didn't show here.  Unfortunately the crowds did leave a bitter taste in many guests mouths, but hopefully we will see this event return next year, with more lights, over more evenings, with less free tickets.

Thats all for this update, see you next time!
