The weather is wet, but work continues on the DreamWorks Experience.
Everyone is looking like smurfs.
The main building at the front of the park is undergoing a bit of a facelift.
Guests are currently entering under the scaffolding, via guest relations, whist the work takes place.
This stand is new, selling sun protection stuff like sunscreen and hats. Not doing much trade in this weather though, and surprising to see it open.
The work to construct the Dreamworks themed area means a number of the kids rides are unaccessible. A couple of temporary flatrides like this have been set up.
There's also a temporary Goldie the Clown, and Kenny Koala show to keep kids satisfied while the Dreamworks area gets built, but the wet weather saw the shows cancelled at the time of this visit.
The new Dreamworks Experience will be divided into 3 themed areas, relating to Madagascar, Shrek, and Kung Fu Panda.
This looks like it will form a tropical boardwalk into the Madagascar end of the area.
Rugrats Runaway Reptar/Sky Rocket is becoming 'Escape from Madagascar'. New patches of red, yellow, brown and green paint give it a bit of rastafarian feel.
The colours seen on the coaster continue through to Rainforest Rampage, which is being renamed 'MAD Jungle Jam'.
Circular paved area, or new ride base?
Some Shrek inspired buildings have appeared in the central part of the area.
The other side of them.
This yellow 'big top' is likely to house 'Dronkey Flyers'.
The Madagascar & Shrek themed parts of the buildings abruptly merging together.
Puss in Boots Sword Swing....Still not yet looking too different to its previous incarnation as Swinger Zinger.
The carousel is being rethemed as Shrek's Ogre-Go-Round. Look closely and you can see the new panels with Princess Fionas images covered by the wrap.
Shrek's Ogre-Go-Round will also have a new big top canopy.
Spongebob Flypants/Kite Flyer is becoming Gingy's Glider.
The Lair remains closed.
We spotted this bus on the way out as we retreated from the park early, cold and wet. A hot pizza would be a dream actually.
