Dreamworld Focuses on Iconic, Memorable Experiences in 2017

Dreamworld is heating things up with a range of new experiences that will get you closer than ever before to our tigers, have you swimming and sliding your way through the warmest water park around and enjoying our new state-of-the art patisserie.

Today's launch of Dreamworld's newest attractions including Tiger Island's Up Close Experience, double storey Treehouse cabanas and the Parkway Patisserie and Grill is just the start of a jam-packed schedule in 2017,introducing a new live music and special events program, a series of 'Park After Dark' events and a range of interactive and educational experiences.

Dreamworld CEO Craig Davidson said, "Dreamworld is focusing on creating iconic Australian experiences that will not just create momentary exhilaration but memories that will last a lifetime." 

"Not only will we be looking at bringing back the old favourites including the Log Ride, Vintage Cars and Mine Ride later this year, we will be debuting products and brands that have not yet launched in Australia, similar to Australia's first Lego and Jelly Belly stores located right here at Dreamworld,” Mr Davidson added.

"The launch of today's newest attractions is just the beginning of a truly memorable year for Dreamworld to continue to be Australia's biggest and most iconic theme park."

Tiger Island Up Close, the much-anticipated Tiger Island Up Close has officially opened and now forms part ofthe multi-million-dollar makeover of Tiger Island delivered in late 2016.

As a global leader in tiger conservation,Dreamworld is committed to providing world-class facilities to provide guests interactive experiences, while educating them on the plight of tigers through the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation (DWF).

Up Close features viewing tunnels into the enclosure which children can crawl through for an up-close experience and large glass viewing areas and windows with mesh, where you can get so close, you could feel the breath of a tiger. The area includesa unique interactive program, including tiger walks, feeds and photos with a percentage of money from these experiences going directly to global tiger conservation.

WhiteWater World, one of the many worlds that make up Dreamworld, has turned the temperature up across all slides and pools, becoming the warmest water park on the Gold Coast, Australia. Add to this a new luxury range of two-storey Treehouse cabanas and you have the ideal destination to transport you to a world of fun and relaxation. EvoEnergy undertook one of the largest water heating installations in Australia with a cutting-edge system upgrade cementing WhiteWater World as one of the warmest and most energy efficient water parks on the planet.

EvoEnergy's redesign will continue to heat over 30 slides, water-rides and pools to approximately 26 degrees while cutting existing carbon emissions by over 35 percent.

The three new luxury Treehouse cabanas will feature 42 inch televisions, speakers, mini refrigerators, lounges and deck chairs located on the open top deck, giving you views across the park. The cabanas can be used separately or can be opened up to accommodate larger groups.

The Parkway Patisserie & Grill is a new dining experience for Dreamworld with five types of homemade pancakes and a variety of dishes featuring fresh local ingredients.

Open from 9am to 6pm daily, the restaurant can be accessed without a ticket into Dreamworld and is the perfect place to start your morning with some of your favourite freshly made breakfast pastries and pancakes.

The menu has been designed to create a nostalgic experience for guests with traditional favourites featuring fresh ingredients, homemade items including honeycomb and coconut ice, as well as local produce such as locally roasted and certified organic Byron Bay Coffee. The menu will feature a range of made-to-order gourmet burgers, American style hotdogs and rotisserie chicken, roasted fresh each morning.

The patisserie features a large viewing window looking into the prep kitchen, allowing you to watch your favourite treats being handmade by resident pastry chefs.
