  1. I was at work the other day when I was talking to a couple in there 20s from Tokyo anyway I was telling them that I wanted to go to Tokyo to visit Disney and Disney sea. Anyway they told me that Movieworld was alot better and I asked them why and they said because the rides are fun and the staff interact and make your visit fun. Also the guy told me Fuji-Q Highlands "home of Dodonpa" was really worth a visit thou. anyway the above a just a opinon of guests , I will still visit Disney Sea at one point in my life but intresting anyway.

  2. went to wet n wild on friday had a look at construction so far . bascially what I saw was a big round pool empty with about 8 huge round elements going around the pool (like your oven element but way bigger) these round element things will create the whil pool effect also there was a run way slope heading into the pool. and the ride is being made behind the wave pool area.

Still if it is going between the two parks, then the long term idea of combining both parks is not out of the question. A gold Coast SuperPark....something to think of.
I heard this from alot of people at work too. plus it a perfect location for a super park as both parks are in a mini valley and there alot of space behind the two. also I know we dont have the population like Anaheim, Tokyo and Paris and Orlando but why cant we join them I do see a big boom down here in the next 10 years.

But I don't think wooden coasters are easy to market to the general public  I could be wrong.
wrong wooden coaster of now a days are easy to market and theme if you build it in the right part of the park like wild west just like knotts did with ghostrider being built in ghosttown at knotts plus the wooden coasters of now a days go so fast, ive been on ghostrider loads of times and it is the best coaster I have ever been on to date.
  5. I agree that you back track at Movieworld alot, but as for the shows I think some are alot more fun then Dreamworld and not all are full on. Did you know that durning the PA stunt show outside in the main st there are the following shows going on Marilyn Monroe, the Director Show, Bonnie and Clyde, Austin Powers, Elvis in the afternoon and of course Bat Attack 12:15 and Parade of Stars 14:30 As for indy sunday it was pissing down I would stop rides if I was in charge as for Batman I worked in Batman that day and the ride was in full motion the customer you talked to must of gone on 1 of the 3 motionless flights that they do each day for people who dont like thrills. And remember at the end of the day Movieworld is a movie park like Universal Studios Hollywood where Dreamworld is a Thrill Ride park like SFMM or Knotts. :)

  6. hey guys introduction day rocks i got paye to walk around the park and ride some rides. I will be on the retail carts I think which will be cool as I get to be outside. if your in the park look for a guy with a blue or turk shirt with the name Ian.

  7. just wanted to know if anyone on these boards have been to other parks outside of australia. heres mine "rainbows end" in auckland heaps "chessington world of adventures" london 3 times "six flags magic mountain" los angeles 4 times "Knotts Berry Farm" Buena park 5 times "disneyland" Anaheim 5 times "disney california Adventure" Anaheim 1 time and las vegas coasters 3 times

  8. cheers guys sadly for you guys i will be in tourist shop not food. but i prefer the tourist shopping side anyway. also I was told i may also have to work at seaworld some times which is cool for me as i live on main beach pde. also it's great to see a aussie theme park community because it's hard dicussing stuff with americans when you not really there .

  9. great theard and i agree with everything you said. as for coasters i think movieworld needs 2 over the next few years a hyper and a big wooden like movie world spain or knotts as for how i see the parks i arrived here from nz in jan and IMO movieworld remindes me a bit of Knotts Berry Farm in 1995 and disneyland as well, "meaning there are about to expand where dreamworld gives me more of a sfmm feel. one thing which is sad with scobby thou is the theming is starting to chip with paint ect when I 1st saw this ride disneyland theming came straight to mind, but sadly the quailty is beginning to chip.
