  1. Thanks for getting back on track guys. Also I cant wait for theming of superman to unfold, from some of the stuff I heard at the staff closing of movie magic this could be one of the best themed rollercoaster ever in the Thrill area. (disney doesnt count ;) ) Also there is a big City set being built at the studios next door for superman and the reason its being built up here was fox studios in Sydney was to small for this one set for Superman, Fox will still do all the inside stuff. so it will be intresting to see if this set ever becomes part of the ride only time will tell I guess.

  2. ones ive ridden would go in this order. Journey To The Centre of the Earth (Tokyo Disney Sea) Indy (Tokyo Disney Sea) better then the other disneys indy's Scobby Doo (WBMW) Indy (Anaheim Disneyland) Space Mountain (Tokyo Disneyland) Space Mountain (Anaheim Disneyland) Matterhorn (Anaheim Disneyland) Eureka (Dreamworld) Calico Mine Train (Knotts Berry Farm) Mine Train (Chessington England) and thats all I can think of that Ive ridden for now.

  3. Movieworld is on the same level as Universal hollywood and that where it should be, Disney is Disney and will always be ahead of the pack. **hope this bit alright rich** For the past 2 weeks I have had my best friend and his girlfriend here hes from NZ but has been living in europe for the last 7 years. and has been to a few parks in Spain, Italy, France and England. and has done the LA parks as well. Anyway there opion on all parks was the same as alot of visitors to the coast. Basically this is how they summed up there visits. Dreamworld : Claw was great, Giant Drop was awesome and wipeout was fun but park was below par with waiting and felt like a big fair. Seaworld : beautiful park good to see animals in such a great environment and the Bremuda Triangle was a great disney style ride. Movieworld : The atmosphere was amazing with all the street characters around and the rides were quality best park by far felt like you were in a theme park. and for the record we didnt get everything done that day and it wasnt busy. so I hope the above give you a guide to how non theme park freaks like us see our parks.

  4. Its coming I know because my bosses have told me and THE COURIER MAIL published it in the paper on the 22/12 I even know 3/4 of the layout just cant say that as im a employee and love my job. anyway here the quote from THE COURIER MAIL if you dont beleve me. http://ozcoaster.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=116 A NEW Wet'n'Wild complex is planned for the Sunshine Coast as part of a huge theme park expansion in southeast Queensland. Warner Village Theme Parks are considering several freehold sites between Caloundra and Noosa, but offer no more details about a likely site. Chief executive John Menzies said yesterday that the park, valued at about $50 million, would be smaller than the Wet'n'Wild on the Gold Coast. The company hopes to have a decision by the middle of next year and would then face a two-year cycle of design, approval and construction before opening. Warner Village, one of Australia's biggest theme park operators, also plans to spend $20 million expanding its Wet'n'Wild site on the Gold Coast during the next three years. Mr Menzies said work had begun to double the size of a children's aquatic playground and the Mammoth Falls attraction by September 2005. The upgrades will include climbing towers, water cannons, slides and buckets which tip water. "We're getting enormous numbers of people with small children. We just need to expand it and put in more state-of-the-art interactive attractions to keep people coming through the gate," Mr Menzies said. The company, a joint venture between Warner Brothers studios and entertainment group Village Roadshow, intends to commit a further $22 million to build an Australian Outback Spectacular attraction on vacant land between Wet'n'Wild and Movie World. A 1000-seat arena will be completed by this time next year to present a musical show featuring special effects and stockmen with horses, cattle and other animals. Warner Village expects to spend a further $12 million to develop a new Superman ride at Movie World and another $2 million expanding its water park at Sea World on the Gold Coast. "We've got a massive program. We're always building something new and 2005 is going to be larger than most," Mr Menzies said. He said attendance had grown by between 5 per cent and 10 per cent a year in the past decade.

  5. (1) http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0...%5E3102,00.html Warner Village expects to spend a further $12 million to develop a new Superman ride at Movie World Local press. (2) TY at guest service is a friend of mine and only works a couple of days and like me can only tell you what the press knows, as its part of our contract. (3)

Anybody who finds out anything on this ride and doesn't feel like annoying us as Rabid is then be sure to post it.
I hope Rich gives you a warning for this because you are a piece of crap mate and if you want to know why read my notes from my last photo update that I will kindly post for you below. And finally something I really need to get of my chest, If you dont know I set this website up as a way to promote Australian parks to the world and I also work at the Theme Parks as my day job, so could I ask if people would respect my wishes and Joz as well as Richard over at Rollercoaster.com.au and stop either insulting us or acting like whinee Bit88es when we wont give you finer details about new rides as we cant because its in our employee contracts. We do this theme park stuff for fun and for a wide range of people not just you coaster freaks that make models of Star Trek stuff in your mother basements. Please be pateince the park has said they will get a superman ride in 2005 so just be pateince save your money for a trip to Movie World and we will provide you guys stuff when we legally can.

A second Wet N Wild park great idea as water parks are popular here, and this state (Queensland is hot year round). And finally is this the Boom time for Gold Coast theme parks I guess the next 3 years will answer this.
