  1. There was alot of people when I went but the cycles were doing more than 2 minutes all the time. My longest cycle was 6 minutes which was my 2nd ride. I was only paying 3 coupons to ride Skywalker, and only 7 to ride No Limit, I had discount tickets which REALLY gave me my money's worth. Was Hard Rock down Ninja? I managed to get the first ride of it in the morning and after that they had the ride closed ALL day. DSCF2194-1.jpg

  2. Hey. So I went Friday to which was a PACKED day full of people. I was in luck with the rain until, it rained just as I got back on the train for home. The show this year was great with more exhibits, but unfortunately less rides and Rainbow running HORRIBLY! But for the lack of rides it was made up by... Skywalker! I must say, THE best carnival ride I have been on. It was very disorientation but the ride never made u dizzy. Only two complaints. The seats where like stand up coasters, only thing is, u sat on them, making it uncomfortable to ride more than 3 or 4 times in a day due to squashing of the testicles and rubbing of the thighs. The restraints left brutal red marks on your shoulders if you let go and put your hands up. I got to ride 8 times and never did I get sick which was a bonus. Here is a video I took and edited, enjoy.

  3. Well the time of the year is finally around. All rides are erected and running, including the all new skywalker, all the animals are at there new show for the next few days. lol. This year's show should turn out to be a good show with a great ride line up, and the show produces ride coupons as well. I am going Friday, I will be sure to get some pictures for you all. Is anyone else attending this year?

  4. I honestly don't think I would enjoy the ride as much if it was super smooth.
You been on Tatsu? Tatsu is damn smooth and hey I like it, if a ride is smooth its just great. You get to concentrate on the ride, not pain, I know I would rather enjoy the pretzel loop then get shaken around. And who said no one is man enough to ride it? Most people on the forum have ridden Lethal Weapon more than once, we all agree its a great ride, but you just have to endure to much pain on your ears.
  5. It comes down to this, it shouldn't matter if the restraints come down tight enough or not tight enough, the ride should be enjoyable without the neck jarring jolts. My harness was always one click out on the inverters in the states and guess what... there was no pain. Like Richard said, its simply train design. Poor design, rough ride. A good example of this would be X until they redesigned the trains.

  6. I doubt your going to find many pictures from behind the scenes on Aussie Parks. As Gazza said, I don't see why its a problem, I know many parks in the states show all there stuff off. When I was at six flags I saw 2 people park guests walking over the bridge to X2 with 3 park staff and over heard them talking about how they were exciting the see the new trains or something like that.

  7. I reckon we will see them one day soon. And if we do it will either be a Stand Up, Flyer, Dive Machine or Floorless.
I think a flyer has its chances like a fourth dimension coaster in our coaster... minimal. A stand up would be great, they add such a great thrill. IMO the floorless really does nothing, when I ride a coaster I look ahead or above me (well on dueling dragons above), floorless to me never added much more thrill. But could of just been the one i rode (scream!). But to myself I just find B&M not hitting the shores of Australia. Not for a long time at least... but PLEASE MAKE A LIAR OUT OF ME! lol. Bring on the B&M's!
  8. well colossus doesn't compare to ghost rider. Ghost rider is fun and a lengthy ride but damn its rough. Colossus is good, it isn't as fast, but its smooth for a woodie and if both tracks are running then your bound to have lots of fun. Out of the two ghost rider was my favourite but at the end of the day it just hurt me so much. But ghost rider isn't like a MUST do in coasters anyway and you wouldn't be missing out on alot if you didn't get to experience it. I mean whats missing out on one coaster compared to missing out on 4 or more coasters?

  9. I can only answer your first question sorry and that is SFMM downright has better coasters than KBF. KBF coasters don't really compare to what there is to offer at six flags. I mean at six flags you have your flying coaster, stand-up, floorless, mega coaster (is goliath a mega?), first looped coaster which is great fun when you race through the mountain, giant inverted boomerang, the goldrusher lol, theres just so much to chose from. I'm not sure how the queue lines will be in spring break for the park but don't forget you can purchase flash passes, the ride i can tell which will be busy is tatsu (as always) but being spring break remember there aren't going to be families there so who knows, the queue lines could be just like normal.

  10. Id go as far as to say that out of Superman and Xcelerator, that Superman is the better of the two, thats just me though. Silver bullet is cool, but i mean there is a comparable ride at SFMM in Batman.
lol and superman has a much better unfadded paint job. As Gazza said there really isn't that much to do in L.A. Hollywood is a half day thing and if your doing the OC tour cancel it, it shows you nothing apart from the pier in the movie.
SFMM may be dirty, full of Latino gangsters and a bit sleazy
The park is no longer in that state anymore and has a bright future with new management. The park is being cleaned up and has been clean for a long time now. Heck even skytower is open again! You said what I was going to say Gazza lol. Indiana is a first and if its a rainy day be sure to wll not run but get to that ride quicker than normal. Its popular when its dry... its just ridiculously long queued when its wet.
  11. Its easy, magic mountain for the thrills and Disneyland for magic. You can get a 3 day hopper pass and you can do California adventure as well. That only takes 4 days out of a month. X2 I thought opens in spring. The ride is near complete with the new trains already on the tracks. There is not alot to do at Universal although it is hard to fit in every ride and show in one day. If you missed Disneyland then yes it would be a bad move. Disneyland isn't about if it's too kidish. There is so much to do at the Disney parks and no matter how old or young you are I will promise you will have fun. Don't get me wrong about Knotts however, it still is a great park with some great rides (silver bullet, ghostrider, sierra sidewinder, etc.) and the park is barely busy with queue line times around the 10 to 20 minute wait (excluding silver bullet). If your up for new rides or rides you have never experienced before than Magic Mountain is your place with a flying coaster through to standing coaster. Oh and I forgot to mention how darn good the park is looking now. Sexy new paint job on Viper :D

  12. Not to mention a Fremont street ceiling wouldn't look as good during the day. And we all know our parks aren't open at night unless during special events. I think this would be the worst move yet, it would be a waste of money, an eyesore and unnecessary. I mean if I get a few days of rain, I'm not going to carry an umbrella around with me for the rest of my life.

  13. Thanks for the reply Zane. So basically its just like a hydraulic ram in the shafts? One more thing however... it says "the elevator pulls on to a platform and locks into place. The platform is hanging by cables in a pully system", yes ok I understand it locks onto a platform, how ever before in the shaft if you look at the roof of the lift its mesh and you can see right through. Why is it that when in the shaft you can still see past the ceiling of the lift and see the cables attached to the lift itself. It says its a platform, that site says nothing about some being above the lift itself. Its still fairly confusing. A great bit of engineering :D

  14. I've clicked the link several times, and every time it links me to a Modern Marvels video, which after about a minute talks about the horizontal movement of the cars. Basically it's saying that sensors located on the floor and underneath the cars tell them which way to move. They also mentioned that they can move backwards, forwards and even side to side.
Ok thank you dan. I you tubed modern marvels after you mentioned it and found what I think you are talking about. Yes that part helps me alot, again thank you.
  15. The link you sent me re-redirected me to completely different video no matter how many times i clicked it. I was completely polite in what I said by thanking you for your contribution. I don't understand how it was uncalled for, it wasn't offensive nor was it rude. The reply is exactly what it says, no the video you sent had nothing to do with what I was talking about or the ride, I'm sorry for telling you that. If your getting offended and think I have a problem with you then you must be guilty of something or just want to start something with me. I suggest if you think I have problem you, you take your own advice and say something to me in private. Thank you. Again, I apologize for my computer redirecting me to a completely different video all the time. Anyway back to the ride, if anyone knows then thank you.
