  1. Does anyone remember the park Tomteland? It was a park with mainly carnival rides, i think the only permanate rides were the water slides, putt-putt golf and laser tag. I remember always going there for the miners work picnic (that was when my dad was a miner). It also remember it was bought by aboriginals and they changed the name and the theming to Indigenous Australians and that. I'm not sure if it is still open, but i was wondering if anyone had any information or if anyone had visited that park at all. I would love to know. Thanks *MICKEY*

  2. i didnt say it would change, i said it COULD change, i mean well, if i didn't say that, you would always get some idiot saying "oh how do you know its the logo, it might change, they always make last minute decisions", but any one, its a forum your entitled to say nething you want :) But anyway, yeah i agree with you, it is great to see that movie world is expanding. As for the opening thing, im not to sure, because, well i dont know, um... oh yeah construction is going extremly slow lately, but you never know they could move on really quickly, it would be good if it opened some time soon. I remember someone told me when the news about the ride came out that it was supposed to open in September.

  3. que lines can be long sometimes. It depends when your going which is in january so yeah most likely they will be long. But, not all rides show be hour long ques. I remember last time i went, i waited 75 minutes to go on the cyclone, and it was a waste of time. Lol you will get way more than 8 rides a day but. Lata.

  4. Looking at the pics from ozcoaster it definielty says BATWING - spaceshot. Would Batman Adventure - The Ride 2 close during the construction because of the destruction of the archway to the ride?
The Batride is still open whilst the ride is being constructed. Here are three pictures of construction boarders to show you the name of the ride. Enjoy. post-1145-1158838100_thumb.jpg Here is a picture showing a sign saying that the Batride is still open. post-1145-1158838201_thumb.jpg A picture of the construction boarders. post-1145-1158838270_thumb.jpg A close up of the Batwing-Spaceshot logo, but it could always change.
  5. Looks like a new beginning for Nintendo, never really been a fan of them, although it does look like fun to play. Also looks like it would take a while to get the hang of the controllers.

  6. Hey everyone, is Wonderland a company name? Says if i wanted to make my own park and call it Wonderland Sydney would i be able to do that or go through legal jumble?
The wonderland name is actually owned by Paramount pictures and by the wonderland in canada. Wonderland in australia was actually a sister park of the one in canada, wonderland sydney had the same bush beast and beastie as the ones in canada, it had the space probe and the demon as well. many rides at wonderland were replicas of the rides in wonderland canada.
  7. for all those people who think the half pipe will "boring" u r all idiots. have u ever riden one? most likely NOT! i went on in america and yeah, as the reviews said, its surprising, u may not think going up and down a track is thrilling, but it is! so dont judge it when u have never riden one. As for sea world being boring, if u think its boring then y go? there must be sumthing there that gains your attention to continue to return. I agree, SW is a relaxing park, u have 3 other parks with many thrills, its nice to sit back and not have to rush around or wait in que lines. for the idiot who said SW shouldnt put ne more rides in, y not? thats just dumb, sum people go to SW for the rides, and there arnt many rides, so what if they add 2 or 4 new rides?

  8. when i went back in 04 the slides were still black!? <_< but i noticed how much smoother the ride had gotten, i went in 99 and it was black but rough as and it hurt ur back and it was like the tubes wernt lined up properly. but last time i went, i couldnt feel the connection in the tubes, but as for the colour, it was still black, although, i did notice spots through it that alot of sunlight could sneak in...

  9. hey tony, do u work at WnW? If so thats so gnarly, me so envious, me envious of ne1 who works at theme parks. my uncle use to work at wonderland until it closed down... stupid owners! im going to WnW in october for holidays. im flying up october 7, on the saturday, and when we get there we r going to wet n wild 4 the night 4 the dive in movies, i have never riding the slides there at night, should b good. i have done the screamworld thing but, it was fun.

  10. i didnt realise i said they suck. i mean, i know there good, i guess im just used to them from all of em at america. i guess i just want sumthing new ai. i do agree with but, the SDSC is very fun and thrilling, and the superman escape is one of the fastest in the world. as for the GD, it scares the doo doo outta me, still dont know y i ride it but:S stange i know. there is one thing about dreamworld i dont really like though... its wiggles world, but then again, im not a little kid, but it is a good thing for the little kids. dreamworld does need a new coaster, i just thought that maybe i dunno, it already has a LIM launched coaster. neway! lol, im going there again these holidays, cant wait. i wish the water park would hurry and b finished. oh does ne1 remember when dreamworld 1st opened and well... i use to b crap? i think its one of the best now. what do u think about a wonderland opening back up in sydney, do u think it would work?

  11. I actually herd that dreamworld is buying land behind the park, where there is absolutly no rides. I dont think they should get ride of T-lane, i know its a thrill park but hey! the kids still need something, and that T-lane is the only vintage car ride running in australia since wonderland closed:( I agree the launch coasters suck, and there heaps expensive to run because of the LSM (linear synchronous motor), do u know how much watts the T.O.T uses each launch, its enough to power 5 houses! I think australia is ready for its first 4 dimension coaster, or first floorless, laydown, standup or even glider coaster, i mean c'mon... WERE FALLING BEHIND IN THE WORLD OF COASTERS!
