  1. How can you go to Dreamworld and not ride Giant Drop?! lol Looks like you had a good time. I agree with what you said about Corkscrew, not the most thrilling but still a nice ride, and yes when LW wants to be it is a great ride.
  2. Ok thanks for the suggestions guys.
  3. Does anyone know where I can find some good Point of View videos from Florida parks? Or any good POV sites in general for that matter. I've googled it but not found anything all that hopeful- I'm especially interested in a Kraken video.

    RTC Running Slow

    RTC Running Slow

My dad's just got an old pc from the Griffith UNI which apparentlly has alot of memory for a DNA sequencer program that he runs on it. Anyway I installed RCT3 not long ago and it was running pretty slow even though the pc is meant to be fast. The computer has 1.00 GB of RAM and is 2.00 GHZ. I know s**t all about computers and wasn't sure whether this isn't fast enough for RCT3 or if I just did something wrong while installing it.
  6. I would but as I only just bought my DW pass I can't really buy my MW pass just yet- being a paperboy means a rather limited income But I will be buying my pass sometime in early october when I get a bit more money.
  7. I made my way to Dreamworld again today and the queue's were a joke, my first ride on the Claw was with a completely full queue line, something I've never seen before. I did manage to get 6 rides on Giant Drop though which was good. TOT seems to be getting pretty tame and on my ride it reached 156 rather than a 157 k's as usual. There was a fair bit of puke out the front of the ride too, not pleasant.
  8. I would welcome it obviously because it's the only one of it's kind and it seems to be a good ride. Anyone here know much about it?
  9. I know this is old news but here it is anyway http://biz.yahoo.com/rb/050912/leisure_sixflags.html?.v=5 Did anyone here ever go? I've always been interested in their SWAT ride, and was wondering if anyone here had ever been on it.
  10. Looking good, I guess now it's just a matter of theming/landscaping and testing.
  11. We didn't see the fountains on once when we were there which was a shame as they do make the ride look better. I'd also like to see the water coming off the crest of the wave again too. Eureka is a decent ride and I'd say it's the best part of Gold Rush Country if it weren't for the recent upgrade of TRR. If only the same amount of work could go into every other ride. Some parts of Eureka are excellent, my favourite part would have to be mid-way through the ride when it's pitch black. At the start of the ride near the lift hill the wall on the right was gone partially and we could see through which made the whole thing a bit shoddy.
  12. Willsy I also go there for rides and beleive me I would have gone on the rides 5-10 times if I could have except there was no way the queues would have permitted it, and we were going on rides almost non-stop. I may be wrong but I'd say the average teen wouldn't go on each ride 5-10 times, we're not all ride nuts. Anyway it's obvious I'm not going to win this aregument but all I'm saying is that now that DW has enough in the way of family i think it needs a bit more in the teen demographic in terms of rides and also things apart from rides that still apeal to teens.
  13. Finally they're advertising something other then Scooby Doo on the main page. Movie World is definitely starting to shape up.
  14. Ok, Dreamworld is more or less a two day park for families, all I was saying is that there needs to be a bit more for the teen demographic, that's all, and if there was a more expansive water park, a couple of decent coasters, and some entertainment like Nick Central and Wiggles except for older guests then It would be a more complete park for people my age.
  15. I always seem to have the tv turned off when good things are on. So what did the trains look like? I mean were they what you excpected or a bit different?
  16. Here are my photos from the day..... Sorry about the quality of the photos but my phone doesn't have a great camera and it's very dependant on the light. As you can see the Cyclone queue was about average for the holidays but it still took us an hour to get onto the ride.
  17. I disagree. I always thought there is plenty to do at Dreamworld but if I hadn't re-ridden any of the rides yesterday then I think I would have left at about 2 o'clock. Cam and I had a good time but yeah there really wasn't that much to do apart from the rides. If you take away Wiggles World, Tiger Island, Blue Lagoon, Nick Central and generally walking around the park it's just rides. The above things are good of course, and I realise there are a fair few of them, but Nick Central and Wiggles world were below our age group, we had already seen Tiger Island a few times and it was too cold to go to Blue Lagoon. DW needs something more for the teenage group, and I can't really think of what fits into that group except rides, which I guess is what they need next.
  18. Well I guess not seeing as Wiggles World has just oppened and I can't think of many decent thrill rides which could be built between now and December unfortunately. Maybe they will upgrade a ride but that's all I can see happening.
  19. Well mainly the fact that we couldn't really enjoy the ride because it was so rough. If a 20 or so year old arrow at Seaworld can be smooth as glass and another at Dreamworld which is much younger can be so rough then it's obviously a question of park maintenance not the rides maker. Also yes the theming was rather crap and we waited about an hour, which was bad even for the holidays. If the same upgrade that was done for TRR can be done for Cyclone, except on a larger scale then I think it will be time to concentrate on the new ride.
  20. A fun day had by both Campbell and I; Wipeout x 2 Cyclone x 1 Claw x 3 Reptar x 1 TOT x 2 Giant Drop x 4 Eureka x 1 Thunder River x 1 Rocky Hollow x 1 Kudos to Tony on a good job on GD this morning. I always seem to forget the names of the ride ops so I can't remember exactly who but the ops on Wipeout were doing a great job. I was going to post the photos but the data cable is up at my dad's so maybe tommorow. Thunder River Rapids is just so much better now with the new theming, I didn't realise so much had been done. No more random dinosaurs and jungle animals The Drop was doing alot better then usual and I was glad when I saw both sides working. Cyclone wasn't worth a second glance; the ride is just falling apart. Wipeout seemed much more fun than usual for some reason, the Claw was great as always and Rocky Hollow got us drenched. We also got a look at wiggles world which turned out to be much better than what I had seen from the photos. Not much else apart from that, except that I never really noticed how much the noise from TOT disrupts the park. Pitty they can't make it quieter.
  21. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=62379 This is definitely not the way I would treat a park opening in Australia. I think it's a bit appalling, especially since it's a disney park
  22. I would pass around a petition to close down any park that had the nerve to open a crazy frog ride.
  23. I mainly can't wait to see the trains, and also some footage of it testing. Any ideas on when testing will start?
  24. Yeah Marvin wasn't the best, if Planet S.O.S at Seaworld is anything to go by then Shrek will be much better.
  25. I can think of another park in Australia that would do well by doing that
