Sounds really good for Australia Zoo. Im glad Terri has decided to hold onto the park, it just wouldnt be the same without her. I read the article in the GoldCoast Bulletin on Friday, I think it said they had or were planning to purchase an extra ~200sq.ha of land, to add to the already 50sq.ha. If she does build an accomodation and theme park there, the pull that it would bring from american alone, would be enormous. Think about it, Australia Zoo's located all around the world like disneyland. It really has the potential... Sure it wont be "magical" like Disneyland but themed rides to animals would go down so well.

Finally flew over it this morning, got a few photos, although air traffic control wouldnt allow me to go below 2000ft due dreamworld helicopter traffic, so the detail aint that great. Having some problems with my USB cable atm, will upload when fixed. There are a few extra buildings and it looks like from my photos (only viewing them from the camera), that their is another pool in a seperate complex from the main backyard.

Any chance of grabbing one please? I can send you my address?

Expedition Everest rocked! It is one of the most nicely themed rollercoasters I have even seen! Not to mention the ride is actually half decent. I went in Jan 07 for about 2 weeks with the family, which was Disneys quiet period. Think the most we waited for EE was about 30min, rode it countless number of times, and never got sick of it. Kali River Rapids was really nice too. 100x times better than Dreamworlds version - Kali is actually themed! You go through mist and ooooahhhhh its so nice! Oh, and dont even get me started on Kilimanjaro Safari's! Absolutley brilliant! *honk* *honk* "Jumbo everyone, welcome to Kilimanjaro Safari's, wave goodbye, you see them in 2 weeks" *driver floors truck* Animal Kingdom is truely one of the great theme parks! I enjoyed it so much I cant wait to go back!

I fly over it quite a bit, I'll try and get some photos next time - but yes, there is construction going on.

rofl ^^ now that was funnyHere's a couple more. This time, some Tornado tools... Wow. How to get seriously hurt... -
highest level operator required to operate the log ride? good god, what has the world come to
-
tbh i agreed with the author dreamworld simply lacks decent rides
-
I've been in the line for Superman Escape heeps of times only to see rather large people leave the ride due to not being able to fit in the harness. It's hard not to feel sorry for them =/

expedition everest at animal kingdom in wdw is by far the best themed ride i have ever seen! the detail is amazing and the ride rocks!

Just pray they have 2 trains going...... You wont be waiting long at all if there is 2 trains, even on the weekend
-
Not at all. When I went to WDW Orlando, I also went to Universal/IOA/SeaWorld. If people come here for Disney, they will go to other theme parks to.i totally agree with u i live in the gold coast and work at white water world there is already enough competition up here with theme parks and luna park down in sydney is not much of a theme park and if disney build at the gold coast all the other theme parks will lose thier buisness well not lose it but will be down on numbers for a while -
I went in Jan this year. MGM definetley one of my favourite parks, if not the best. tower of terror, rnr'r, fantasmic, awesome!!!!!! definetley way better than magic kingdom in terms of thrill rides, but magic kingdom is great for.... well... the magic! But yeah. I miss Rock'n'Rollercoaster & GOOD Tower of Terror Who else has been to MGM? -
DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!! When we went there this year, my family was so over simulator rides we decided to skip it!!!!!!!!! Then when we arrived home, I was told that it wasnt a simulator ride!!!! Damn that IOA worker who said it was!!!!!I went to spiderman 3d too! it was gratefull, i enjoyed and it also one of my favorites in IOA! I wolud like to return to feel that adrnaline again, i am from Argentina. Maybe i could, maybe not -
oh my, no disneyworld? your missing out!

RnR'r was a good ride, would be better if the launch was a bit faster tho. Worst bit about the ride, especially if you want to keep riding on it, is that you have to constantly go through the pre-ride entertainment in the sound studio. Gets boring after the 3rd ot 4th go lol........ Tower of Teror Twilight Zone was kickass too.... if they got something similar at movieworld, it would be one kick ass theme parkYeh and have you heard about the new batman themed ride at one of the six flags parks.... The Dark Knight? I personally think they should do a ride similar to that. A launched indoor looping coaster where you "can't see the track".
u can see where ur going in scooby doo..... and i mean a kick ass thrill rollercoaster, not a family ride. i love rollercoasters and i find _a lot_ of them to be just 'ok'. revenge of the mummy got my blood pumping, it rockedwhat about Scooby Doo? -
They need a dark rollercoaster where you cant see the track. Something like 'Revenge of the Mummy' at Universal Studios in Orlando. Now that rocked! (and its brilliantly themed)

I'll stick to my $79 movieworld one too

Well as an aviation student myself, if they do not know what went wrong, they will ground all aircraft models till the reason for the accident is established. Obviousley there not going to ground all aircraft types if its the pilots fault for flying the aircraft into the ground. Which reminds me, air crash investigation is on tonightIf a plane crashes do they cancel all flights around the world. Typical American neuroticism. Sad to hear someone gets hurt on a ride, but as far as I am aware giant drop is still in operation as it's not listed in the in maintainence page of their website. Although I am still wondering how someones leg could be severed by a snapped cable. If the lift cable were to snap the gondola and the hook carriage above will fall but they'd still be attached and on GD they are both attached the the rails and would still hit the eddie current brakes as per normal the cable could hit someone I guess. not sure... -
You want them to get rid of 1 of 2 thrill rides because of this? Have you even been to DisneylandP? Do you have any idea how many family rides there are? I guess not. RnR'r is one of the best rollercoasters going around.....Yes that's exactly right....Maybe Disney should start going back to the " family rides " that made the park famous. After all, that was what Walt built the park for in the first place....Less thrills & more imagination seems to be needed IMHO -
Went there last week on a Tuesday I think it was. Only 1 train ruinning on SE and wait was like 10min.

Nice pics man. When I went to WDW in Jan I took a 1GB memory card for my digital cam... which didnt last very long. Ended up buying another 3 while I was there. Ended up with about 1400 photos for the 2 week trip. I am just too lazy to upload all of them and make a report! Good job!

Last time I went (5 months ago), the $10 had turned into $15
