Hmmmm true.... I think the public schools go back at the start of Feb.... private maybe a couple of weeks later. Uni students start at the end of March. Also dont go to DreamWorld when 'The Wiggles' just happen to be doing a 1 year anniversery...... which is what me and a friend did and the parked was packed full or little whinging kids!Anytime in February is a good time. I always go to the Gold Coast in the 1st week or the 2nd week of Feb and have never had a problem with crowds. I always stay Thursday-Sunday. The weekend crowds are not usually packed. -
Hey dude... thought I would give ya my oppinion...... I know what your going through cause my family is currently trying to plan a trip to Disney World in Florida! My times NOT TO GO are school holidays in Australia... i.e. from about the start of December through to about the start of March for all Gold Coast themeparks. If it came down to which day to go on out of school holidays..... make it a weekday as all kids are at school and it is rarely busy. I went to MW a couple of weeks ago with some mates on a Monday and we basically walked on to every ride. I think the longest we waited was about 10min for the Superman Escape. Weekends are generally quite busy too.... so I only ever go to the parks on a weekday. Hope that helped!Hey guys, as above. Anyone has any idea when is the low peak periods, where theres the least people going to the themeparks? And where can i buy tickets cheap, other than at the official ticketing site... Thanks, cant wait to visit Dreamworld (i'm not from Australia btw) -

Went to MW earlier this week and SE line was probably about 30-40min at the start of the day and they still only had 1 train going..... wtf? Why buy 2 trains if your only going to use 1? Same with LW.... wait was about 20min and still only 1 train. Yet 2 weeks before that we walked straight onto the ride and they had 2 trains going.....? I would make SE the first ride to go on..... it gets packed really quickly. Scooby-Doo while being fairly popular, goes really quick due to them having a dozen or so carriages. Definetley see the police stunt show (although it does get boring after they havent changed it for ~10 years) Looney Tunes Ride : do it once just to see what its like Looney Tunes Coaster: dont bother, head over to LW. While jerky.... try to keep your head back and you wont have so many problems. Dont go to Shrek 4D after going on the coasters: makes you very sick WWF and Batman/Batwing are a must too Have fun
