  1. Has any one visited Tokyo Disneyland in early June? Or can anyone suggest a good month to visit with four children?Avoiding the biggest crowds
Hi, I was there last year from around the 1st - 4th of June and it was fantastic. An absolutely fantastic place to visit with disney sea. The crowds were low then, along with the hotel rates however it is important to remember that June is the wet season...for us of the 4 days there one was day of rain all day long, but it sort of added to the fun, and certainly kept the queues right down. It may have got old if it was wet for all 4 days however but the rest of the weather was great. So I would recommend late may/early june. Now that's it's been a year I'm craving to go back! Japan's a great place and airfares from oz are SUCH great prices atm...I've seen under 400 return with Jetstar who I flew with last year and also found to be fantastic. Hope this helps some! Jay
  2. Considering you only got on 1 of the "big 6" and that being the motocoaster I'm not surprised you left dissappointed. Dreamworld's only real attraction is some of its big rides and certainly isn't the atmosphere of the place, if you don't get on the wipeout, giant drop and claw, which are the best of the rides imo, your going to leave dissappointed. 3. The music sounded awful on friday night - like they have blown a speaker or it was face down on the floor or something. So many of the effects are down at the moment pretty much from when you enter the lift...it is in desperate need of maintenance. ( and fog! ) Jay

  4. I was lucky! After reading the post annoucing friday night being sold out, I high tailed it to the myfun site and they still had the purchasing function for friday night available dispite adding a sold out notice on the page and was able to purchase 4 tickets mid yesterday! By the end of the afternoon it was gone. Missed out last year to so looking forward to this year! Jay

  5. $40 or $99 for 4 is the Regular Price And at those prices unless you get 4 people together I think the price is a rip off. However... There is a 10% off for myfun members (which is just the free registration on their website) making the prices $36 each or $89 for 4. That price for 4 is the sweet point at just over 22 per person. $36 is still to much in my opinion. I notice these prices bring them in line with what Dreamworld recently charged for screamworld. But there no reason anyone shouldn't get at least the 10% off.

  6. I made the trip down for the last show. The public were allowed in. They obviously had a large number of people in the crowd that had been involved with the show over the years, they also had all the current performers and crew that weren't in the show sitting in the stand on the side in uniform. There were several cameras from various media at the event, I noticed one from channel 10. They presented all current performers and crew at the end with a shirt and certificate and presented them in order of years of service. I managed to grab one of the shirts on the way out as they were selling a couple of them. I have a video of the entire final show and presentations and stack of photos that I hope to make available shortly. They also spoke a little about the new show and mentioned the area will be twice the size of the current space for the new show. Also spoke about the difficulty in the dicision to close the PASS and bring in something new. Was a little reassuring that they are aware of the high standard they need to meet. Jay

  7. Well, not sure how related this is, but when I was there on Wednesday, there was a truck of some sort (not sure from which company though) parked behind the launch building, in the gated sanded area. So it could be something to do with the launch motors....
That reminded me, I saw that truck there on Saturday also...was a hoses and something truck, i assume like hydraulic hoses etc....
  8. Superman escape remained closed all day yesterday also, it was on the closed attractions list with no mention of weather, nothing on the website however. I did see superman escape do a few empty test run late in the day, no sign of it opening at all, roller doors down in the queue area. On another note they had a small fault with lethal weapon yesterday...running two trains, after an intended stop by the ride op on the lift hill due to someone not taking their thongs off and then resuming, both trains ended up stuck on the two brake runs and wouldn't return to station. Had to get a tech to come and put in a magic key and push the magic button to bring em home. Let's just say for the girl in front of us that was already packing it and being forced on to the ride by her friend, it didn't do anything for her nerves! She has already bolted down back down the queue line twice. Watching the two of them helped pass the down time however. Jay

  9. Hold on a sec.... The last few times I've been to Movie World those fountains haven't been running! It's been a month or two now since I went though but they were out of action for a decent amount of time. Good to seem them running again, it sort of lacks something at the end without them.
