^ No, I think for a forum this small 3 options will work better because we pretty much know which coaster is going to win BUT the interesting results will come with the runners up so if people only had 1 option all votes would go to about 2 or 3 coasters and the others wouldn't get anything but this gives other coasters a chance to poll.
-
That is what I meant. An altered layout IS a new layout. But you realize that would be incredibly costly right? We're talking millions probably. Custom Rollercoaster tracking = big $$$.Not a new layout but an altered layout with some elements possibly changed/removed
-
Vote up to 3 :) And yes, I know I missed out coasters but if I had included all the small ones then I would have had to have literally included every coaster from Aus (close to 30 including shows)
-
I'm skeptical about a new layout because it seems like MW are on a much more tighter budget these days and a new layout would be millions of dollars (i assume). Very excited to see what comes to fruition nonetheless
-
Yep, I'm definitely excited now after hearing they're going to add 1 ride a year for the next 5 yrs with a THRILL ride going in this year :D I hope they keep aiming for older demographics now because the park used to be targeted to young kids but it needs the lucrative teenage/young adult market too if its going to succeed.

I reported it first None of the news on wiki is new information except it opening in February.I think someone mentioned the Australian Themed Playground in the Aussie World Flume thread.
-
Playgrounds are very....six-flags ish. Not sure it's going to be much of a drawcard so don't know why they'd bother, plus they will need to have someone watching it at ALL times because if someone breaks their leg or arm, they will be held accountable.
-
Wild Eagle looks far superior to The Swarm imo. Dollywood looks like it's becoming a must visit park
-
OMG I just got a Hurricane Katrina/ Six Flags NO flashback :-/

Thanks for the report! Wow, a new ride every year for five years? That is something to get VERY excited about!

Didn't find the title funny, sorry.

Lol I think I chose the wrong guy to martyr. Still, my sentiment remains the same regarding the attitudes of some around here. I've been attacked for the slightest of slight spelling errors and it's annoying rather than educating because most of mine are typos.
-
How can this community ever grow into something than just a small clique if the older members here are so unwelcoming? Yes, his spelling and grammar are off, but give the child a break. A little bit more patience and understanding would go a long way here.

Arts degree?

I think it's a little pathetic how people judge others on what they watch. A lot of people say theme park lovers are nerds and social rejects but I'm sure most really aren't. Same principal applies to people who watch Big Brother.
-
Even if I did, it's more of an accomplishment than being a forum clown #oopNah it was a witty comment about arts degrees.

Lol @ some of the comments in here. I'm not a bogan, I'm university educated and I barely ever watch TV. But BB is one of my all-time favorite shows for many different reasons. Just because YOU don't watch it, doesn't mean you're intellectually superior.

Hehe have fun! If you go before me you should do a report

Well I was going to take my cousin and little brother but family had different plans. I still want to go sometime on the holidays though. Trust me it's not that I'm being stingey or anything, I have the money to go and I WANT to, I just want to go with kids because it's that type of park. I'd go to the bigger parks with my friends but AW with younger peeps.I Totally understand what you mean but if that's the case they shouldn't go around complaining that they had to pay for the privilege. The youngest memory I have is from about 4 years old so I still don't see why you would *want* to take them any younger, I'm sure they will still have a love for theme parks if you wait till they're 3+ to start taking them (That's just my opinion). Of course needing to take them because you have no other option is a different story and in that case you just have to suck it up and pay what they tell you to. Sure, theme parks are meant for SOME families but if you have a 1 or 2 year old I don't think that statement still applies. Take the kid somewhere more appropriate for their age. I doubt a 3yo is going to be able to do much more than a 2yo - I agree that 4 is probably best. I was actually keeping an eye out for your promised 'boxing day' visit with huge review and POV video... lol

Went past Aussie World yesterday and carpark was almost full and Redback was doing a cycle which was full. I'd say they'd be doing decent business during the holidays with the Plunge now open. I'm keen to hear some reports though
-
Im freaking LOLing at the proportions on that map...first of all the Wild Mouse is just as big as the Plunge, and the Ferris Wheel is taller than the Giant Slide...and lol at how tiny the pub is...hehehe
