  1. Alright, I'm trying to work out the land for the park but it's been a while since I've been there and cant remember, in the carpark you walk up to the entry gate. Then you walk down again as you pass the seating for the show... but once you're down there, do you ever walk back up a hill towards the resort? If so, where? Also anyone who is interested in helping please let me know so we can get started better

  2. Alright, now that I'm back in Brisbane I am going to make an attempt at doing this SeaWorld park. Before I start, does anyone know the name of the custom scenery which is a station modification which has gate kind of things like an actual park to seperate the loading of each individual car (hope that makes sense) EDIT: found the loading this i was after Also, does anyone want to help with the land layout? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE

  3. I've recently returned from a trip to New Zealand and while I was there I visited this small adventure park called Waimarino. Is it just me or does anyone else think that some health and safety officials should check out their latest attraction - The Blob? What do you guys think?
Having a quick look online, they are used in a few parks around the world, I guess it's ok, I mean if they are in the park they have passed the safety inspections.
  4. $29 per person. 2 hours exclusive use of AVPX. There is no added fee, - no profit for us - this is simply the parks set price for this event. A minimum of 20 people are required to attend. Simply post your interest in this thread and we will keep an eye on it, but (preferably) mark your attendance at http://www.facebook.com/Zendorphin (This event is the AVPX one) --- 2 hr use of AVPX, Mixed food platters, 1 drink on arrival (beer, wine or soft drink), Bar open for extra beverage purchases during the event. Cost: $29 per person, minimum of 20 people.

  5. 1 train operating was probably because it was quiet since the holidays are nearly over. A few weeks ago they had problems with the sensors on the station launch which took over an hour to replace. I assume it's like other rides, if the sensor loses track of the ride, it shuts down, if the sensor wont reset itself, they walk people off and fix the ride

  6. The following rides and attractions will be closed for scheduled maintenance: * River Rapids 27 Jan to the 31 Jan * Log Ride 1 Feb to the 7 March IN SUMMER?! REALLY?! * Nick o Round 2 Feb to the 5 Feb * Tea Cup 8 Feb to the 11 Feb * Reef Diver 15 Feb to the 26 Feb * Tower of Terror late opening 1pm 9 Mar to the 9 Apr, 12 Apr to the 30 Apr It opens late for an entire month, then closes for 3 weeks. (but that still leaves 2-3 months until the relaunch?) * Dora the Explorer 9 March to the 12 March * Reptar 15 March to the 26 March * Angry Beavers 19 Apr to the 29 Apr * Moto Coaster 3 May to the 7 May * River Rapids 10 May to the 26 May * Sponge Bob 31 May to the 4 June * Tower of Terror 11 June to the 25 June To finish the upgrade and relaunch * Claw 19 July to the 1 Aug * Blue Skidoo 3 Aug to the 6 Aug * Flowrider 9 Aug to the 16 Aug * Cyclone 18 Aug - 27 Aug * Swinger Zinger 7 Sep to the 10 Sep * Bumper Beach 13 Sep to the 17 Sep * Wipeout 12 Oct to the 2 Nov * Giant Drop 4 Nov to the 20 Nov West, 22 Nov to the 8 Dec East However unless they do painting outside park hours (which could be done as there isnt really any noise involved) I guess the tower itself doesnt get a repaint?

  7. Have any of you guys gone to see the MTV show at Dreamworld. I went last week and it was quite good, because I didn't know what to expect. It had lots of lights, loud music and stunts which made for a great show.
Went and saw it last tuesday. Was quite good and entertaining. Not the type of show that would have survived if it wasnt a seasonal one though.
  8. You don't get it either. When you go around a corner any lateral gs that you get your car/vehicle also gets so in anything that isn't held in path by rails is forced outwards by the gs too making your car skid away, so anything that isn't on a fixed track will never pull anywhere near the same gs as a coaster simply because as soon as the g force is greater then the cars grip it's going sideways. And a hand brake will only make you go sideways faster.
And going sideways faster was what we wanted to do was it not?
  9. My god you people just cant get along can you. Would you be happy with a handbrake turn in a go-kart at 40kmh? (if karts dont normally have handbrakes, we are all going to pretend we're in magical ones that do)
