  1. Thats a nice website Gazza, and by the looks of it - updated more frequently that google maps.
It's quite interesting to see WWF and MW without the water too Also, would anyone be up for a meet & greet at Seaworld once the ride re-opens?
  2. ...snip...
yea I figured there would be something like that. Just out of interest, do you happen to know the clearance height from the top of the superman restraints to the top of the cut-away entrance? I've never seen anyone go through it with hands up and las time I was on it, we all dropped our hands and the building was getting closer :S
  3. havent been on superman escape in a while, but doesnt it let you lift your hands? Now from what I remember, there isnt much clearance under that monorail track. Does this mean the height restrictions are going to change? and on closer look at that image, it will be quite easy to raise your hands. I'm sure they've planned for this but there just doesn't look to be that much track clearance.

  4. hmm.. I don't wanna sound hasty because I know it's still in test mode, is it just me or does the ride seem slow? -In particular the "Human" side which, granted is intended to be the more family friendly side but it just seems to struggle to the finish line.
They do both seem a bit slow dont they. Any speed stats available yet?
  5. Yet to come across any aimbots (must be limited to PC for now) but there are a lot of campers in multiplayer. Nothing like being one kill off heli/air strike only to "run into" someone camping.
Yea but camping is a big part of a strategic shooter (especially if defending bomb sites etc). and yes, bots seem to be pc only for now
  6. There is no cable under the car that hooks up automatically.
It also takes more than 30 seconds and they send a test run after reset....
well the one I was did exactly what the OP described (rolled to tower - rolled back) had family watching the ride who confirmed no one walked along the track. The car stopped about level with the MDMC station. About 20sec later it began to be pulled back. We arrived back into the station to hear "well, that didnt go so well, want to try again?" After pressing a couple of buttons on the console, we were sent back up the tower with no need for a test run in between, and what I typed out was the reason the ride attendant gave us.
  7. I'll be nice and reply. What would have happened was one or more of the hundred or so sensors on the track would have lost track of the car for a split-second. When this happens the ride automatically shuts itself down. Usually that cable under the car catches onto the car and automatically drags it back (I've been on it when it happens). It seems this time (as has happened plenty of times before, the cable failed to catch and the engineers had to walk the track and manually connect it. Then it only takes 30sec or so to reset the system and send it on its way again.

  8. On another issue, I've compiled a list of every chairlift and gondola ever built in Australia. While I have the ski resorts covered, not all the information is complete for chairlifts and gondolas at parks and showgrounds. Any extra information (no matter how trivial) would be appreciated.
The chairlift at the Brisbane show was operational until 2009, not 2008. This was its last year.
  9. The new ride you've all been hoping for is happening in WWW in time for easter next year. MTV show is only for the holidays and a crowd soaker - If you don't want to see it when you visit the park then don't go and watch the show.
Post #73 Dreamworld Australia wrote - about an hour ago Hi Jason, That is a rumour and also an idea at present. just like all the other ideas on the discussion board. Im here more to get ideas on what you would like to see than to give any startling revelations. Best i can say is you will here it here first. Well hopefully, their's always a few that can sneak a secret through.
  10. I had the most fun on the the last Friday and Saturday night. But my highlights of this year event was, the amount of people that ran out of the fun house to get away from me, if anything im helping promote fitness. :) I find it funny Rich, Joz, Clint and Gav came in the funhouse while i was on a break good job boys.
could you post a bigger picture of you and the bunny please
  11. It was a variant of this style of photo... We never rode lethal weapon either, so my 'bubble wrap head padding' photo never got a look in :(
lol nice. What company is responsible for LW? Intamin or Vekoma? I mean surely it wouldn't be too hard to pad the seats, even if it was the same sort of stuff they used on TOT, it's soft but still supportive
  12. -I made two attempts to get this witty onride photo I had planned to work (Tried on SDSC and WWF), and failed twice, so I gave up. -Dragon Alley had no actors. I didn't encounter any live snakes, but I did get tapped in the nuts a few times by rubber things that were attached to the walls. -Hopefully with future halloween events they can go over and get some ideas from Universal in terms of scare actors, and beef that aspect of the night up a bit. -They all died
1 - was it a photo of you playing chess? :P 2- I'm pretty sure the 'nut-busters' were supposed to be the "live" snakes 3- I saw on universal's website though you aren't allowed to dress up :( 4- FMX show?
  13. For this very reason I deactivated the auto correct feature on my touch....It seemed to interrupt more often then it made useful suggestions.
I find the HTC phones learn words the more you use them. Every time I tried to type 'Steph' it would always change it to "Stephen" but now it knows I use 'Steph' so it remembers that. Quite a few of the posts I've made on here came from my HTC Magic
