  1. That would be right and I think there are a few people out there who have done nearly the same amount of rides. When Superman first open it was a 10 to 20 minute wait now it is nearly an hour and you just cannot get as many rides in one day I think the best we did one day was 8 rides. I have recorded of how many times I have riden Superman in all that time there have been 9 closed not running at all, 7 breakdowns with an hour or 2 wait, 2 breakdowns with a reopen in the afternoon. We have ridden in every seat and even at night during the Anzac day late opening last ride of the night first ride of the day front seat but have never been on it during a rollback but I have seen it happen twice and nearly $1800 in petrol with over 100 visits to Movieworld in this time and yes I did buy my lunch in the park everytime I got my money's worth out of the yearly pass.
I haven't even seen a rollback! I'd like to be on one someday :) My best was 10 rides in 1 day, but it was a weekday and pretty dead quiet!
  2. Fantastic theming, I was going to put something up about this a few days ago but didn't get around to it. I too think the water effect is spectacular, it is in perfect sync with the train and almost looks convincing. I would love to see one of our parks install a flying roller coaster, MW preferably and see if we could get such cool effects, the queue doesn't look bad either.
I would like to see MW replace Lethal Weapon with a Manta-like flying coaster! I think that would boost attendance stats!
Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit. Universal Orlando. Last but not least is the latest big ride for Orlando. Its a Maurer Sohne X car coaster with onboard user selected music, with its main feature being a 50m drop from a vertical lift, into a non inverting loop (the track twists so people never go upside down). The park intended for this ride not to have inversions, so it will have similar broad appeal to its predecessor, Hollywood Dream at Universal Japan.
I gotta say, it might not have inversions, but it's still a pretty wild ride. Not the sort of thing that appeals to a mild coaster type person. Looking up at that first drop would make the average person think twice before queueing up I think... ;)
  3. I'm a fan of that ride but have only done the one in California. It must be fantastic to experience when there's random programmes to deal with. It's a shame that Batwing or one side of the Giant Drop doesn't have that.
The giant drop is somewhat random because you never know exactly when it will fall...
  4. My favourite ride I've been on would have to be Dinosaur at WDW Animal Kingdom. I was genuinely scared when riding it! As far as coasters go I really liked Sheikra at Busch Gardens Africa. That first drop is unbelievable! Superman Escape is still my favourite Aussie coaster though. =D

  5. I've probably been on it over 30 times. One day my son and I went on it 7 times in a row. It was great fun but not good for the neck!!! Just a bit off topic, my kids went on Road Runner roller coaster 19 times in one day. Movie World is great when you go out of holiday season.
19 times on Road Runner? That's impressive! I rode Superman 10 times in 1 day, that's my best effort. If only the queue was shorter I reckon you could get 20+ rides in 1 day...
