Went to Dreamworld today and I won't be returning....unless they do some drastic improvements. For some stupid reason the Log Ride and Thunder River Rapids closed at 4pm - they only had thrill rides open. I thought the park was susposed to close at 5pm not 4pm! The Motorcoaster is the WORST RIDE EVER! It hurt the top of my legs and I was in gret pain during the whole ride. GET RID OF IT and put the vintage cars back how they were! New rollercoaster please! There is no great coasters at Dreamworld - go to Movie World insted. BAD FOOD! I had a chiros which was doube the size of Movie Worlds but tasted foul!Movie World is on top again! Pandamodum is way too thrilling it makes you feel sick. TRIP HAZARD! Tower of Terror queue line just before last room and Wipeout. When I was boarding the Wipeout I tripeed and it seemed the staff nearby just laughed at me - not good customer service! ROTTING DREAMWORLD! The old paddle steamer and mine ride have seen better dys. The old mine ride is in so much disrepair it one day will fall on top of the Thunder River Rapids. There is one good thing about Dreamworld. Loose item storage. Maybe Movie World and Sea World could learn from the storage solution at the Motorcoaster - the only good thing about that ride...

Another idea I have with a networked locker system is that they should onyy charge you for what you use. If you were allowerd an all day locker where you can use any locker moving your items from ride to ride you won't be using a locker all day, so if the lockers timed how long you actually used it and chage you when you end hire it would be more fair. I do hate having to pay $2 for 1 hour hire and only use 20mins, it's quite unfair that they make you pay another $2 at the end of the day when the park closes in 30mins if you want to ride again. Scaning VIP pass is a good idea.

Thoses lockers in the above post look good. They also take notes and credit card so no more having to have lots of small change. It would be great if Movie World and Sea World had a system like this. MW could also add some lockers near Scooby Doo if you were able to move your items between rides as having my bag between my feet always makes it hard to get out.

They need to do something about the Mine Ride. Why not make the mountain bigger. It can go over the pathway behind it and even the train track and have tunnels for the pathway and train to go through. Then with a bigger mountain a bigger, better Mine Ride can open. The cinema should be 4D. They can then show 4D Dreamworks films. Get rid of MDMC and restore the vintage cars back where they should be. Reopen the paddle steamer with a new bushranger show in the centre island. Improve the quality of their burger meals. Get rid of Shockwave. Build a wooden rollercoaster. Build a decent steal rollercoaster. Buy back land so there is room to expand Dreamworld in the future without destroying current attractions. They can build the shopping centre next to the Coomera train station - NOT Dreamworlds land.

The coaster will after leaving the station climb to the top of the mountain, then it would follow the old waterslide track down picking up speed and then it would be a normal thrilling rollercoaster with some loops. Of course the mountain will need some renovations...

That slide that goes throgh the mountain is still there. It would be cool if they created a custom rollercoaster that followed the old waterside through the mountain. Dreamworld do need a decent rollercoaster to compete with WVTP.

What I don't get about Superman Escape is your not allowed any loose items, and noting in your pockets. Yet for some reason you exit into the gift shop. Movie World the exit into the giftshop trick to make money does not work if the guests have no money on them. If they want to exit in the gift shop the locker area should be in the same room or loose items should be stored behind the counter.I'd accept wallets too, isn't superman the only ride that wouldn't let you take your wallet to the station now? (AA, GL have boxes)

Hopefully when the new ride opens they open that gate that blocks the main pathway. It would be great if they put some thought in loose items storage but I bet you would have to hire a locker as that seems to be the way WVTP seem to operate these days.

Good idea. Food and Bev should be only 10%, that is how much the staff get and it should also include merchandise (Dreamworlds current one includes 10% merchandise but not food and bev)

Last November I saw some Looney Tune costume characters go inside the old ride entry. I was filming but unfortunately I forgot to press record and missed it!

Dreamworld need to build a good wooden coaster to replace Blue Lagoon and expand the park and build a big steel coaster - like the ones in America, one that is better than Movie Worlds many great coasters...

I have a video on youtube of Dreamworld then and now 1987 / 2012. I do have footage of the Big Red Car ride and may use it in a sequel.

Is that Expo Oz? It will be good to see him again as 2013 is 25 years since World Expo 88. Makes me wonder if Dreamworld care abot Expo 88 why didn't they get Expo's "Titan" rollercoaster when World Expo Park closed or the "Demon" when Wonderland closed?

At Seaworld there is a gate blocking the main parthway. It has been closed for a very long time. I think they are worried that people will trip on the old train track but the way around to the other side (through the food court) also crosses the old train track. Why don't Sea World fix this issue so the park is easy to navagate? This video shows what I mean...

The mine ride need to be repaired and rethemed. The chairlift should come back but have it that the chairs can stop at the stations so guests can safely get on/off and be more secured in. Kind of like the chairlift in Rollercoaster Tycoon. Oh and Blue Lagoon should be replaced with a nice big wooden rollercoaster.

It would be a great area for a large wooden rollercoaster. They can also shorten the train track to expand Gold Rush / Rocky Hollow into 1 area.

They need to bring it back. Most other themeparks with studios next door have a tour.

Dreamworld need to knock down Blue Lagoon and build a wooden rollercoaster. They also need to build a big steal coaster over where the Thunderbold used to be and maybe go through Whitewater World that is bigeer than any Movie World coaster. Whitewater World should become part of Dreamworld included in Dreamworld entry price.

The only reason the Captain Sturt closed was because it was boring. They should reopen it and bring back the bushrangers. They could do a show in the middle island. Dreamworld also need to knock down Blue Lagoon. They should have built Whitewater World as an expansion to BL keeping all original slides but now BL is destroyed. Knock it down and build a wooden rollercoaster. They also need to find a better location for motorcoaster and put the vintage cars back where they were with decent theming.

It would be better if they had the all day lockers somewhere in the rollercoaster area. It is very annoying having to always have to go back and forward between the rollercoasters and middle of the park. So much time wasting.... I like the idea of all day lockers to use any locker park wide. It would also be more convenient if you were able to put notes in the machine insted of many coins...

This ride is so old it needs a makeover. How about some animatronic vikings? I used to like it going into the old Bermuda Triangle volcano so a new tunnel would be nice. Also a another short drop insted of that one big drop at the end. I don't mind the concrete it's better than that plastic tube. Hopefully they expand it in the future because currently it is the worst log flume ride on the Gold Coast.

I noticed the Vikings Revenge is now a much shorter ride. It goes from the station and straight to the lift hill. Hopefully this is just while the new ride is getting built.

I saw the Captain Sturt today and it is in bad shape. The decks are covered in leaves and the wood is rotting. So sad that the Dreamworld I used to love is just getting more and more destroyed. The longer it is left abandoned the more expensive it will be to repair or even replace the old boat. Same with the Mine Ride...
