Is it just me or are they moving really fast with construction? Do they normally move this fast or what's going on?
Completely normal - sometimes they move quicker.

You'll need flash passes.

That crowd of people is a group of enthusiasts there specifically to look at the construction progress.
Really? It looks like they're protesting the construction to me!

Damn! Just landed at LAX and what a pleasant surprise to read about and view the new section being installed. My jetlag is cured, I'm pumped! 👌👌👌

My expectations for this coaster just tripled... so twistyyyyyy 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
That's probably the zero g roll (if there is one)

They should build an RMC over the top of it and call it a day!

It's a pretty far distance from the turn around back home to the station.. it's gonna hammer through!

That photo is my favourite of this coaster so far. Looks like you'll be flipped over into the turnaround while weightless.
The guy (or one of the people at least) who designed this thing is actually an active user in the NoLimits community and I've had a bit of a chat with him about this ride, he really did keep his mouth shut about it but it's just great to see that Mack has hired someone who tuned their skills just making coasters at home and sharing them online. The best looking coasters I see are virtual ones made by enthusiasts, and it's great to see that the people in this community are getting the chance to have a go at the real thing. I'll be sure to let him know whether it sucks or not!
What's his YouTube channel? Would love to see his work.

Movie World's coaster from everything I've heard is very different to Flash. It might hit a lot of the same notes, but the order is totally different, and there are a couple BIG awesome changes that I've not seen anyone even guess so far. The rides aren't clones, I've decided that they are best described as 'siblings'. Certainly a pretty strong family resemblance but also unique personalities. While I'm sure it'll be a thing people will debate, I'll say that I think what we're getting is way better, even without that delicious looking camel back between the Stengel Dive and the turn around on Flash.
I'm trying to not get too hyped because that's how disappointment happens, but it's hard to envision it being anything other than awesome. I don't think it'll beat Superman in terms of execution because that ride is about as perfectly executed a coaster as you could wish for, despite it's few flaws, and nothing on the rumour mill is filling me with confidence about this coaster's theme or placement in the park. In terms of pure roller coaster though, this should be the pretty clear winner, and I honestly can't wait.
Why are you not able to share any information about the elements this ride may feature?

It's a custom layout, there are going to be some unique elements instead of just copying/pasting bits from flash.
I think our version is going to be much more exciting!

The element currently being built will be very similar to Flash's turnaround (pretty much identical - just probably in reverse). It also does contain a stengnel dive.
I really don't see the similarities though? The steg is turning much more right where as flash it's going in a straight line almost
Actually - yes I see in the turn around on flash is opposite to our one. The dive still looks very different though

Haha nah sorry, as tempting as it was (and as it always is whenever I've had a brief discussion with any of the construction workers) I always bite my tongue. Chances are they aren't gonna tell me much anyway - I wish 😂
You should next time have a nice casual convo then quickly ask "what's the name me this ride again?" and trick them into telling you 😝😝
no but really thanks for all the great photos. I follow your Facebook page and it's great we have someone down there regularly giving us constructions updates. It's much appreciated!

Great photos! Really looking good! Did you manage to ask any questions for the Mack dude?

I still think Mack tracks "appear" cheaper for some reason, I can't find the right words, it's hard to explain.. I must admit though that all Mack coasters seem to have much more superior trains and smoother tracks. Overall I'd actually prefer Mack over B&M in 2017.

Speaking of comparisons, and I can guarantee someone is going to take this the wrong way and have a go at me for it, but, does anyone else look at the Mack and Intamin track and while the coaster is going to be incredibly awesome in its own way, their style of track just doesn't present the same "wow" factor the box style of B&M track does?
I agree - Mack seems to be cheaper imo. But IDGAF.

Looks beautiful so far!

Do you have any respect for anyone?
I think you need to be asking Skeeta that one! you know? Considering he dismisses anyone's opinion/input in this entire thread?

The coaster is no Arkham Asylum and the general nature of a Hyper coaster means accessibility is not going to be a huge problem anywhere on site.
Do you know the layout? Are you a construction worker on site? Do you know anything about construction in general?
-
All roller coasters are built based on accessibility for constuction workers and what's most convenient to manoeuvre around the site. I honestly doubt MW were like "hey build dis sectionzz 1st plz cause lyk we wanna put a huge banna up kbye"

This coaster looks honestly amazing so far. Worlds greatest hyper?!

Are there any near map images of the park lately?
