I would rather stuff like this then another coaster.

How the he did that get approved! Why does the CG look like a ps1 game? And why is the disco room still broken. At this point I lost hope in movie world putting out a good ride again.

Of course it's well themed. You drive around a miniature Movie World!
Very immersive it's like I'm actually in movie world

With talk of a significant update to SDSC coming (Parkz interiew with Clark Kirby), I was thinking.. the previous version of the ride I interpreted as Scooby getting so scared, he runs away from the haunted castle ride and the gang joins him at a party* instead.
I'd kinda like to see a more involved plot, where they catch a monster and reveal the villain. So in the queue you get a story of a monster and meet a few characters who set the story up.
The part of the ride up to the elevator is Daphne, Fred and Velma decide to go one way, Scooby Doo, Shaggy and you go another. The elevator is a trap the monster sets, and the wild mouse element is a chase scene you often see in the tv show, where the monster chases Scooby and Shaggy.
The turntable and hairpin corners are you avoiding the monster, with audio in straights of Fred, Daphne and Velma setting a trap for the monster. You catch the villain and reveal their identity before the 'surprise drop'. Maybe keep the MXPX music for the disembark station/walkway to the gift shop.
* Unless the wild mouse section was always meant to reference a 'chase' scene?
Do you imagine this themed to the movie or cartoon?

Coming from a guy who just eats churos I agree with you, they could build themed restaurants in the wild west considering theirs nothing there

I completely agree, and I'm hopeful that Village now shares this vision. Judging by the comments in this interview, it would seem likely they do.
The increased pass pricing will help provide the finds to build these.
I've been to Alton Towers and Disneyland, so I know what a really good theme park (as opposed to fun park) is like!
Thrills do sell, and all good theme parks need thrilling experiences.
However that's just one part of the package. A great theme park has much more than just thrill rides.
Thrills can also be a part of more comprehensive rides. Also rides are just one of numerous types of attractions a great theme park should have.
I'm pretty confident Movie World at least is on the right track.
The scobby revamp does seem to be a step in the right direction since there not just retheming it to DC like lethel weapon, hopefully they use more ips for rides I think that mad Max,Lord of the rings, blade runner and the Lego movie could be big hits. Note: excuse me for Grammer issues I'm currently on moblie.

I don't disagree with you on the WB Kids revamp, however in terms of thrill v family, just take a look at what's popular. Thrills sell.
Yeah but family attractions make a good experience aleast put something in the Looney toons show building rather then the driving school that doesn't even take up the entire space

Seriously - in 9 posts, you're already earning a reputation.
We just saw the installation of a $30 million dollar rollercoaster - the single biggest attraction investment, and you're going to reference 'cheap coasters' ?
More expensive doesn't mean better... and Flat rides are the filler that makes a park a full day. A park solely made up of gigantic coasters would exclude a lot of its potential market - and would go broke very quickly.
I was talking about the rides that came before that and the parks really need to focus on family rides rather then thrill rides in the past seven years we have lost 3 family rides and only gained one while the other two were turned into a thrill ride and a Kidde ride, also we need a LTV revamp soon to make the parks better and more "theme park" rather then "fun park"

What I like about this interview is it gives me a John Menzies era vibe.
Passionate people who care about the parks and the people who visit them. They know keeping guests happy keeps them spending and coming back.
Hopefully this means we will be getting more expensive rides rather then cheap coasters and flat rides

"We are planning something big and damn impressive for where the old log ride was."
do you think they could go for Mack Rides Again? Because they worked with Mack this year so maybe we could see Mack again, also what type of ride, personally I’m hoping it’s a coaster...
I feel like we have enough coasters in the park, a new dark ride or motion simulator would be nice.

Village Roadshow Theme Parks CEO Clark Kirby: 'We're really excited about the future of theme parks'
Parkz caught up with Clark Kirby, CEO of Village Roadshow Theme Parks, to discuss the big changes that have been unveiled this week and how these form part of a new vision for their Gold Coast theme parks.
The scobby refurb sounds amazing, also can't wait for new rides at sea world hopefully we can get a corkscrew replacement soon.

Would help the Aussie film industry if it did happen though

With this new Universal connection, I wonder if there is potential for a Jurassic World area within Dreamworld.
Could make fantastic use of this in all sorts of ways!
Do you think they could copy the ride at universal studios

What a tragedy that theme park should be shut down because clearly this must be their fault!

My current wet dream is to open a Disney or universal park, but that's unlikely in the near future.

Well. That's the last time (I really hope) I'll go on the ride with no themeing (or theming, I still can't work out how to spell that one!)
Really looking forward to it reopening. Just hope I won't find it disappointing after waiting so long. As long as it's AT LEAST as good as it used to be (but preferably much better) I'll be satisfied!
Hopefully, it is

Yeah but coasters aren't exactly groundbreaking rides.
