This is giving me a Midsommar, the Hills are Alive, and Solar Power vibe...
Minor edit to be made to the title of the topic: County shouldn't have an R.

An aerial of Dreamworld taken from yesterday:
(Cred: AirGoldCoast on Insta)
Or maybe not yesterday seeing that there's water in the wave pool at WWW

In all honesty, Sydney is a bit of a shitshow.
I know some are very much eager to get updates of this coaster, but just let it be - you'll get to ride it... someday (only if a CERTAIN part of the population wrap their heads around the idea that anti-lockdown protests ≠ no more lockdown).
Perhaps somehow getting in touch with a construction worker who's keen to send updates could work (by all means, don't stand outside the fence and yell for their numbers 💀)?
Just don't take my word for it, Sydney had the chance to avoid this mess.

Didn't receive an email either, although it would've been nice

Imagine if it was over the track... That'd look sick

Don't know when this was updated, but Dreamworld have added a new Christmas Corporate party to their site:
https://www.dreamworld.com.au/events-groups/event-bookings/dreamworld-corporate-christmas
Can also be found under the "Events & Groups" tab.

Coming together really nicely!
Hope they put some plants, grass or seats along that pathway. Would be really nice to sit beneath the coaster as riders scream their way overhead... But hope that wall gets a good makeover too. It's a bit of an eyesore atm...

I’m going to assume that Dreamworld’s “Best summer ever” is their 40 yrs celebration?
That seems more plausible as to why it will be their "best summer ever".
And to most likely top it off, the opening of a certain attraction.

After re-reading the T&C, I came to realise that it does look to refer to F&B and merch items as someone stated before.
Like what you said, perhaps it would be nice if Dreamworld offered discounts to their spinning seat - and I wouldn't be surprised should it not come available as such either too.
Given that the spinning seat looks more appealing than a backwards seat, I wouldn't mind a $15 - $20 price tag for what it's worth since it'll provide guests with a unique experience each cycle - unlike Rivals.
Just hope it starts selling at around $10 coz knowing my broke ass, I'd much prefer to spend the remainder on food...

I have no idea tbh, given that I've never felt the need to purchase one.
If it can be purchased in-park and isn't discounted already, then yes I assume.

They have never advertised an in park discount on ST for pass holders, in-park discount is specifically food/bev/merch.
I would like to see peak/off peak pricing and perhaps a loyalty (buy 5 get 1 free) kind of thing.LOCALS ANNUAL PASS PURCHASED AFTER 31 OCTOBER 2020
- Discounts are only valid on full price sales and exclude already discounted entry, merchandise or food and beverages items. Retail discount excludes LEGO Store.
I assume since Steel Taipan's spinning seat will be a full-priced upcharge, an in-park discount will apply to those with the applicable annual pass.

With rivals now being $20 per person 🥴, I wonder how much ST will be 🤔
Hopefully at whatever price it's set, the locals who purchased the $119 annual pass get the in-park discount as advertised.

The farmyard would make sense tbh, seeing that it looks like a pen

What does everyone reckon? September holidays opening?
Not even close.
I expect it to open sometime during their "best summer ever"...

I always thought Superman was pretty low, but this looks too risky to be left uncovered. Maybe that curved ladder fence will have a cover or safety net coming off it?
Perhaps Dreamworld could install another rock tunnel for guests to pass through 💀

The tenders show this as the ride entrance.

Saw them testing the lights inside the station... They look nice as against the mud-looking snake-like scales. So too do the dirty green walls.
(The lights are on the diamond-like rafters, using the same/similar strips of light used to illuminate Rival's station)

It'll be cool waiting in the queue line and watching the process of bringing out the 2nd train unfold.

Haven’t seen it as haven’t ridden but imagine there is one for Gold Coaster in the store too
Gold Coaster does indeed have ride photos in the Shaka Shack store. They are shown on TV screens hanging off the wall or roof above the counter.

Also not to keen in seeing what the reactions will look like when the camera tower is situated along the launch track...
On a different note, that exit path looks good for photos of "the device".

I'm sure it's still getting planned out and finalised (unless they've already done that), but whereabouts would you see Dreamworld sell their spinning seat and how would you think they'd do it? I'd assume they'd do it just like Rivals with a wristband.
-
To see that there will be another safety video demonstrating correct rider positions and all... 🤔 I mean it works to cut down wait times. A welcome surprise.
At least it's better than wearing out your throat by yelling every couple minutes to not touch your seatbelt.

Minor update, but I believe Dreamworld has finally added their train reveal video to Steel Taipan's website.
https://www.dreamworld.com.au/news/steel-taipan-coming-soon-to-dreamworld/

It was from Europa Park, but it showed more of the guy who swore (and how little spin they got)

After viewing this vid of Blue Fire’s spinning seat test on TikTok, I’d say it’s best to follow the advice of having passengers of varying masses on either side to get the most spin… Unless you wanna take it easy, find a partner of equivalent mass.

(TikTok wouldn’t let me save the video)
