Since people are mentioning the rides again, I might share my experience when I went in August.
KABOOM
The best ride of them all and the second best ride at the park (Aqualoop was the best) I had to pick a random person, since the people who I was with were in the heated pools. Although I had trouble finding someone, I finally found someone and went on the ride. I love the drops and the length of the ride.
SUPER RIPPER
Awesome ride at the park. I went down with one of my cousins and unfortunately I lost the race. Still an awesome ride though, and the rainbow lines inside the ride make it look really cool. Would recommend going on this next time someone goes to Wet N Wild.
DOUBLE BARREL
Unfortunately, this ride was closed when I went in August so can’t say anything about it.

I feel like there isn’t a “WB” logo on the hotel due to Wet n Wild being right next to it. I wouldn’t just say this is a Movie World Hotel, it is a generic hotel serving MW/WnW.

- Buzzsaw not replaced
- Tower of Terror not replaced
I would say those two were replaced by Steel Taipan, as one of the reason Buzzsaw was closed was due to the proximity of the two rides and TOT2 disappeared due to “future investment in the park”. Like I have said, Gold Rush Country is a shell of its former self, with all rides from a few years ago gone except Giant Drop and only replaced by ST.
-
Unfortunately I could only see 1 new kids ride coming, with Kenny and Belinda's Dreamland replacing either ABC Kids or Dreamworks.
One little kids ride won't make up for:
- Buzzsaw
- TOT2
- Rocky Hollow Log Ride
- River Rapids
- Big Brother House
- Wipeout
- Dreamworld Cinema
- Big Red Car
- Giggle and Hoot Hop and Hoot
- FlowRider
- Reef Diver
- V8 Supercars RedLine
That is at least 12 rides gone since 2013. Movie World have only closed 3 since 2013 (Arkham, Sylvester and Dodgem) and Sea World have only removed Viking/Sky High Skyway since 2013. Not even Steel Taipan made up for the lost rides, in which the first two were victims of ST. The Gold Rush Country area has been hit hardest with all rides but Giant Drop removed and Steel Taipan coming in, removing the others.

Honestly, I hate to think about 2023, this year has gone so fast.
I agree, except that Leviathan at Sea World/Project Zero and TNT at Gumbuya and the new kids ride at Movie World makes it exciting for the lead-up to 2023.
It also seems that the maintenance schedule is similar to this year, with Superman, Doomsday and Batwing in maintenance Feb-April 2022, as well as Junior Driving School in March.

The new Levithan entrance is one of Australia's best ride openings, and even one of the best in the world. I will definitely be riding this when I go to the Gold Coast next.

Movie World has posted some of the maintenance for the 2023 season on their website:
- Superman Escape - Feb 3-March 31
- Doomsday Destroyer - Feb 6-March 31
- Batwing Spaceshot - Feb 6-March 31
- Junior Driving School - March 20-March 28

The park has finally started teasing the rides even though ones complete and the others ones a couple track pieces from being Looks like they must be getting Arkham by the look of that concept art🤣
Looks like the new TNT to me. I highly doubt Gumbuya would get a coaster that has been closed for three years.

My only criticism with these rides is the themes, the rides are next to eachother, but have completely opposite themes that also don’t match the area of the park they are in (unless a new area is opening alongside the new rides)
I have emailed Gumbuya World and can confirm the two new coasters will be in the "Oz Adventure" section of the park. No new worlds.
-
I personally cannot wait for these two rides to open at Gumbuya World, especially Project Zero. It is taller, faster and has a higher G Force level than every ride except for DC Rivals (even Project Zero beats Superman Escape) and the G Force level is the only coaster to reach 5.0 G, higher than DC Rivals with 4.3 G. Great addition to the park and I can see them (especially Project Zero) become the DC Rivals/Superman and Steel Taipan/Giant Drop/Tower of Terror of Gumbuya World.
I am planning to go in summer as it is easily the best Victorian theme park now. Gumbuya have certainly come a long way from Gumbuya Park, with only 10 years ago having no water slides, no rollercoasters, no lazy river and look at it now with 3 rollercoasters (compared to just one at Luna Park/Adventure Park and none at Funfields), 8 waterslides (two big ones, four racing ones and two regular ones) and a lazy river. Both the coasters will 100% be better than Scenic Railway and Crazy Coaster from Luna Park Melbourne and Adventure Park respectively.
-
I personally think they should ship all of it off and rebuild a taller version of Top Thrill Dragster. One that beats the height of KingDa Ka would be good.
-
No confirmed opening date yet (emailed them yesterday, they hope to open mid December)

Further info here.
Will be located at Melbourne Central.
Interesting. Hope it is real, would be good to come there from Bendigo.

More work has been done on the Vokoma (looks like confirmed SFC 450) with some of the back part done. Also the trains have been placed on Project Zero (former Buzzsaw)

I'd love for more parks around the country to open more wooden roller coasters.
The thing is, it takes a lot more time to build them than steel, and harder/longer to fix in they ever break down.

If the monorail is getting removed as well, I wonder if we could see anything new?
-
Aw man. I have a feeling it is going to be removed, like what happened to TOT2 and Buzzsaw when they were sacrificed for Steel Taipan. I remember going on it in 2015, but it was closed when I went in August.

“The injuries are horrific. Horrific. She’s brain damaged. It’s pelvic, her arms, legs, back, neck - there’s hardly a thing that’s not broken.
Worse than I thought. Feel for the father who could lose two children in three months.

I would say not as school holidays would be just starting. Also unfortunately Superman, Doomsday and Batwing will be closed for maintenance then but you can still go on DC/Scooby/GL and all other rides.
