didn’t know where else to post this but the Tunnel for TNT is now filled with smoke, is this new or can i just not remember this being the case?

Definitely new, as is the audio track on the lift hill and in the station. Great to see the park continue to add and improve the theming after the official coaster opening!

Front row gets the view, the wind in your face and the slight curve when you go back up the tower. Back seems fun though as you'd go further up on the backwards part

I reckon Project Zero isn't as rough as it was. It was by no means as smooth as TNT but that's expected as it's not new. I think the final brake is significantly better than it was though, not as loud or jolty. Very excited Victorian to have these coasters in our backyard!

How long until Steel Taipan is due for annual maintenance? Has Mack designed a ride that doesn't need maintenance? 🤣

@AlexB since someone bought this topic up, the slide never got installed at Gumbuya World so anyone know what happened to it?
Image from Mitty Theme Parks, looks like the slide isn't being installed anymore

I love the new colour! Helps it stand out a lot more and looks like it makes the old TOT supports blend in too

Do we know if Escape from Madagascar will be getting a repaint?

It looks so smooth!

I will gladly eat my words if it returns. I think it's too iconic to lose

So is it safe to say that the monorail is gone or is there still hopes that it will reopen.
Are the signs at the monorail entrances stating it's temporary closure still there?
I'm not holding my breath that it'll return to be honest 😞

Wipeout had deafeningly loud gearboxes.
It did, but it didn't squeak as loud as Vortex right? Or was that just drowned out by the gearboxes?
-
Does anyone know why Vortex is so loud? I swear Wipeout was never that squeaky
-
Ah yes I think you're right. My bad!

A SW employee posted some info on the Gold Coast Reddit:
- Leviathan will offer a near Disney theming experience, unmatched in Australia
- Doesn't think there will be a soft opening for Levy or Trident
- SW have plans to "reintroduce older rides" as guest absorbers and round out the park offerings
Only "older rides" that I can think of that can be reintroduced would be monorail and log Flume? Maybe the cinema if you call that a ride?

The little building outcrop on the right is the old AA station. Lift hill would have been just out of shot on the right.
From what I can gather from the render, that's all staying:
That outcrop is the black slanty roof (much technical) just to the left of centre. No idea what they're planning on doing with it though?
Could be wrong, but could it be the station for the SFC450?

Even when they announced it, it was just a secondary statement within the wizard of Oz announcement. They should’ve announced it before or after WoO and created some hype about it. They’ll probably announce more in the new year once their events are over
I thought the same. Most people even missed it as it was barely spoken about. Missed opportunity hyping it before Wizard of Oz

Still so confused why this isn't being hyped by the park? I know it's not Wizard of Oz or Atlantis, but it is a new ride?

Is there any sign of life near the Madagascar entry of them bringing the remote control boats back? It seemed they were doing work there the other day in addition to refilling the pond
Would be a pretty smart move bringing these back. Fills in part of the park, adds something for guests to do, fairly cheap investment and plays on the nostalgia card so I could even see people pay to use it.

PZ is such a great fit for the park and hopefully the gateway to bigger coasters in Vic! I still believe TNT will be far more popular however

Visited the park this past weekend to get some pics of Supanova. As suspected, the slide will feature a "cropped Tornado 60", which makes the element more of a halfpipe than a full cone. Giving it a visual point of difference to all the other Tornado's in Australia.
The slide's colours really pop/contrast against the existing Gravity Wave waterslide and the rolling green fields at Funfields. Another exciting edition to a really beautiful park! See link for more construction pics:

Excellent photos Luke! I'm keen to try them out when they open. I wonder how well the different colours will hold up in a few years 🤔

Gumbuya World has changed the season pass to an annual pass for all 12 months. Prices for passes are still the same, and apparently even lower for 90-120cm and 60+.
Can confirm, $149 for juniors and $99 for seniors

Good call out. Guess we will wait to see what happens in the next maintenance period

Seems that way. Could also be that where it is now, it is unlikely to be damaged by anything as it's in an enclosed space. Whereas in BOH it could be hit by trucks/forklifts/rogue koalas.
