Legitimate question here - the Superman restraints are essentially the same as the one Gazza posted, but with the red straps. The straps don't actually hold you in? So at best they prevent you from leaning too far out of your seat if you were to try, but they're not doing too much to actually restrain you?

How does the ability to move your head sideways about 8 inches improve the ride experience to a scale of 'much better it would be worth the millions of dollars it would cost to do it' ?

As a taller person, the OTSR sit very tight against the top of my shoulders, which is made even more uncomfortable when it's pushing me down into the not well padded seat. It's not the most comfortable but the ride is over so quickly that It doesn't become a big problem. If I could ride with a cushion under my boney ass, the ride would likely be much less uncomfortable.

  2. On my last visit to Dreamworld I was lucky enough to have a conversation with the CEO, Greg. He seems like a very lovely and open guy. In regards to the Giant Drop, a tilting gondola had been discussed very heavily and wouldn't be too expensive to implement into the current tower. Their main reason for not going ahead with it is purely due to it being too extreme. As others have mentioned, the ride is already quite ominous and it's the minority who enjoy it, adding a tilting gondola would only further scare guests away from riding that gimick.

I have noticed that Leviathan is doing a different maintenance period compared to most rides. Instead of it being 1 long period for 2 months, there will be 4 maintenance periods for 2 weeks, the first being in mid-March, second in mid-June, third in early-September and the last in late-November.

It's also possible that shorter intervals between major checks is attributed to the nature of wooden coasters

VRTP have recently discontinued many of their old uniforms and replaced them with a simple dark polo and khaki shorts. They've apparently been trialed at Sea World but as of Monday were phased into Movie World as well.

Great, now we get to play the, do they work here or is that just a dad, game.

It feels like lately village road show have been pushing for getting the village name more involved in the parks.  Unless you’re an enthusiast you’re not really going to know the name of dreamworlds parent company. While village has been pushing the village name into their parks a lot more.
This seems like another move to get their name in the parks. So that when people think of SW, MW and WNW you think village roadshow .

For the longest time it was "Warner Brothers *insert park name here*" so moving more towards "Village Roadshow *insert park name here*" seems like a natural change now that their parent is Village.

TLDR; looks like it could be a 500ft rear spike and they'll do a swing launch for Dragster.

My god! That is crazy and I am all for it

It will be with 99% of certainty for me, a quick switch track with 3 launches. The abilty to fine tune the trains speed on the last launch to ensure a slow crest over the tophat - could lead to a really great ride experience.

It will massively reduce the chance of a natural rollback but it'll massively increase the chance of the ride completing the whole circuit

Being an Elon Musk product, the window is probably designed to separate from the doorframe using pyro, but during a collision, the frame with buckle and the pyro will fail to fire, leading to the entire car exploding. #SpaceX

It adds the element of surprise. You could be murdered by your car at any moment
