  1. Another way would be to set the launch speed really slow, then have a blockbreak at the point where you want the ride to launch, and set this at your desired launch speed. Just be sure you dont acutally want to use block breaks during the ride, cause I dont think it would work too well! (using this method also means that you can turn any coaster into a launch coaster!)

  2. Sorry guys, I dont know if I can come anymore...I just started a full time job, and there has been a backlog of work cause they couldnt fill the position for a while...I will let you all know tomorrow night if I can come or not...so just be sure to check the board just before you leave if you want/need to know if im coming or not.

  3. I was speaking to a Ride Op when superman broke down once, and we were next in line to ride...She was saying that MW gets no profit from the lockers what so ever. She also said that the person staffing the lockers is a person from the company that provides the lockers. All the profit from these lockers goes to the locker company and the person at the locker is paid by the company to handle people complaining about how they charge to use the lockers. She also said that there had been 7 or 8 different people been doing this job since the ride opened, and all of them had quit (this is in the time from when the ride opened till about mid January). She said the reason they had quit was because of all the abuse they were copping for charging to use the lockers. Interesting how the locker situation works hey?

  4. I dont know about that, but I have heard (from a shop employee) that they are building a haunted house out the back of the shopfront in Surfers...She siad it would be open in another 2 or 3 years when I was there (about 2 years ago), so I am assuming it will be open later this year, or some time next year!

  5. Its more the time that is put into these ads than the money. From start to finish it takes around 3-4 months to script, film, edit and then broadcast. And what we are seeing on TV is only about 2% of the "good" takes that were made. I was working at a post production house in Brisbane for a few weeks and they did some ads when the claw came out, and they had around 40 hours of footage of the claw!!!
