It's the first time at the Melb Show and from what I saw of pics of this years Ekka it wasnt even there. It might be the one from the Docklands but it doesn't look expensive enough to be and from what I've read about that it was suppose to like the London Eye so I doubt it's the same so it probably hasn't been in Australia for long..
-
Not the one that is usually there, sadly. I dont like the looks of those carriages.
-
I happen to like the colours, bright colours make you feel more energetic imo and that's what you need at a theme park.
-
Ok thanks guys, was just curious since I've never visited during the night.
-
According to the Show Map the Ferris Wheel is closer to the train station than the Pie in the Sky, there's only one Ferris Wheel and there's only one showbag pavillion..it better be huge to house 300+ showbags and the huge crowds.. Can't wait to see how the grounds came out though.

Awesome pictures, thanks...makes you want to get on a plane and go there. Very cool Dreamworld are putting in never before seen in australia slides..it's about time we got them here.
-
That's great, hope they keep it that way for the whole Summer..going up end of Nov. Never actually stayed at wnw for the night so will have to convince my friends to do it. Do they heat the pools/slides up once the sun goes down? (when the have the dive in movies)
-
When we were there in February they closed H2O Zone during the movies.Just ask your mate a rhetorical question: "Listen [insert mates name here], out of you and me, who knows more about theme parks?" Just say that you know what you are talking about, and it wont be crowded. When i was there, everything basically becomes walk on when the movie starts (except for terror canyon), I lost count of the number of rides on Mammoth i did. This was pre H20 zone BTW so the lines for everything will be even more dispered. Just a question tony, does Extreme H20 stay open at night? -
Looks like I did gogoboy but perhaps this is a way for kids to flirt and crap in a public enviroment, to try and control the rapes that happen during schoolies because that's is the main reason why teens go to schoolies..not for anything else and I remember reading somewhere there are more rapes during Schoolies than any other time of the year in Queensland. I dont like bmx crap though..if people wanna do bmxing they can go to a park, you go to a theme park to ride rides..not bikes like that..they could have slided in another two (at least) slides in there..
-
The site design is cool but the BMX and music thing could've been made into something a little more less sterotype. What do you think most girls (especially those who will be at schoolies) wear to wnw?? as for the family thing even 7 year olds wear bikini's these days so it's not like parents are going to scream "omg they are making our kids grow up too fast" or anything.. Havent seen the ad myself but isn't there one shot of a guy topless or anything?? they usually include one of each in thier ads..
-
If you want the pics so bad gogoboy why not go there yourself? otherwise just sit back and wait until Tony and other's have the time..it's not like you are paying them to go to the park..they are doing this out of thier own free time. Yes Tony keeps saying he'll post them but as if you've never said you'll do something and kept putting it off in your life..thing's come up and these are only pics of a waterpark being built..the world will not end if he doesn't provide the pics.

Saw Kate Alexa in Jan/Feb..she was a bit flat at the Brissy concert but she got tips from the backstreet boys and sounded amazing at the other three concerts..even waved and thanked my friends and I for standing up and dancing to her songs when everyone else was sitting down looking bored...very awesome girl. Would love to go to this...SE and LW at night would be very awesome.
-
That "Fall of Icarus" ride is like the speed coaster at wet...that's not much of a thrill...would rather go back and forth up and down the wall and than into the splash pool.

He was replying to what Richard said about early November.
-
In you're own words...how can you be sure of that? and didn't alot of people say "Superman should be themed greatly" or something??So maybe you should think before you say stuff like that, cause i'm fairly sure that Movie World is going to want this done very well.
Early November isnt Nov 20th..Hmmm... i would laugh if it opens November 20, Birthday pressie for me! -
I agree, be very cool if they had all of those...especially since at the moment you have to travel over sea's to experience them but dont forget even WNW was small (in terms of rides) when it started out...they start out small to expand later on.Woooooooo! This is gonna turn out pretty good after all. If they have bowls, a tornado, and possibly a rocket or an octopus racer. Who cares if it's smaller or doesn't have many rides. Thank-you Dreamworld! -
I actually like the green for the Tornado and the colour scheme for the rest of the slides but dont forget that colours in pictures are actually seen differently in person by the human eye.
He did, 7th picture "Nice big slide parts these will be for one of the two bowls..."It sounded like dreamworld was getting a bowl slide. I might of read it wrong though I'm pretty sure that's what it said.[ -
Just curious...if you think these are illegal and have reported them than why are you promoting them? edit: some reason I thought that was posted by tony.

LPM use to be sooo good in the early 1990's..we use to go there every weekend..when they had the membership thing..you would just get your hand stamped and could ride as many ride's as you wanted..my sister and I went on the Dragon (now silly searpant) sooo many times..it was our fav ride..still is, the scenic railway wasn't as rough, the ferris wheel wasn't so run down and seemed soo much better than it does now..now it just seems small, the dodgem cars was alot better (the track was bigger)..I just think now it's a bit run down but I prefer it over LPS. When we went to LPS I only went on two rides the ferris wheel and the Tonga Train and I paid for a unlimited pass..at LPM I go on all of the rides (cept the kiddie ones) at least 5 times. I do wish they had a rollercoaster or something more updated than the scenic railway but it's not as bad as LPS imo...nothing could be as bad as LPS. joz, LPM doesn't have a haunted house..they have a ghost train...or were you talking about an old ride?

The Tornado got voted that for it's thrills, not the length but if it only allowes 1 raft at a time than what was the point of adding just one Tornado? the other slides that have more than one get packed out as it is so you can only imagine what the line up for the Tornado will be like..

Isn't that where the Musical Review thingy is? (where Bugs, Daffy, Tazz, Tweety etc come out and dance around on stage for awhile) or did they get rid of that ages ago?Nah, its the one to the right of the batman entrance on that "wall" (to the left of the fountain of fame when viewed from the entrance), i think its used for something because when i was there a lot of japanese tourists were lined up, isnt it the waiting area for paradise country or something? -
Awesome pics, thanks looks so darn huge.

The sign at WnW stats that it is opening in September. The colour actually looks more yellowy in person..not really orangey GoGoBoy and I don't think there is anything wrong with that colour..the colours around the H2O Zone is black and greyish..that's pretty bland so it's nice to have a bit of colour in there and I'm gonna guess and say the rafts will be yellow so it'll kinda tie in a little bit with that if that's the case so there is the little bit of themeing for you.
-
We were on the bus yesterday onthe highway and ommg that thing is SOO massive! it really stands out..it was the first thing we saw as we came towards WnW...absolutely massive..must be really big when you are standing right in front of it. I can't wait to ride it. I like the blue & yellow colour theme too. Everyone on the bus just went "omg thats so huge" at the same time lol...should be a good ride for the size of it. Ohh Gazza you will be able to see he rafts going around if you look over that way..it's soo huge..you can see inside it..where the rafts will go from the highway. Also I dunno if someone has mentioned it but the Movieworld sign at the front (once you go through the ticket barriers) is being upgraded and when you walk out of the park it has the WB logo and the Village Roadshow logo and says something like "Warner Bros. Movieworld is owned by Warner Brothers & Village Roadshow" or something to that effect..

Has anyone noticed that if you go to http://whitewaterworld.com.au (without the www in front of the url) it takes you to the Dreamworld website but if you go to http://www.whitewaterworld.com.au it takes you to the water park site? I like the logo though.
