  1. Hi Ash and Gazza thanks for your question i understand your concerns about sending money to somebody you dont know I am establishing Australian Coaster Club we are a registered business and i can assure that we are intending to develop a good reputation with our members and the Amusement Park industry if anybody feel that we are misappropriating funds people can go to Fair Trading NSW and NSW, Australian government. We are based in Sydney our club is going to be mainly doing regular events and tours. I have been a proud member of this site since 2002/2003 i am like everyone else here a Coaster enthusiast having ridden coaster throughout America, Japan, Europe, UK and Africa. I have background in business and working with people with disabilities, music and cooking. i lost my job in July this year and have always wanted to be self employed and do something i love to do In regards to the event it is booked for 14th feb and is our inaugral event and it at Warner Bros Movie World. I have a flyer to go. So if you still have anymore queries you quite welcome to email me Thanks Ed eddickinson@internode.on.net

  3. What would i do if i owned or managed DW? For starters i would increase my salary. build another kids area, add a novelty coaster and increase admission prices to cover my salary increase. :P Seriously i only visited Dreamworld recently and i wasnt totally disappointed but I agree with the above comments a good coaster and the North East side of the park needs attention.

  4. In my opinion Cedar Point is way better than SFMM because of the quality of the rides, I found the staff friendly and CP has a great atmosphere. But me personally im a fan of smaller parks such as Indianna Beach, Dollywood and my favourite Knoebels The Worst B & M i have been on is Iron Wolf at SFGAmerica, However Majority of B & M Loopers are great especially the ones with the straight first drop ie Wildfire at Silver Dollar City and Medusa at SFDiscovery Kingdom.

  5. This coaster is a good coaster, yes it has good airtime on it. It runs smooth but i didn't like the train and restraints. The problem is that their very uncomfortable to sit in and the should restraints dig in your shoulders particularly over the camel back hills. I had the same trouble on Storm Runner a few years ago. I think they should be looking at the trains and restraints they use on Top Thrill Dragster and Xcellerator. The thing i notice with those trains is how comfortable you were sitting in them. The lap bar rapped around you more so than the lapbar on Superman ROS coaster's over in the states.

  6. I was out at Luna Park on Friday afternoon. I had a ride on the Wild mouse and a bit of a look around. The Wooden Wild mouse surprise me a bit. It was running good i manage to get some airtime over some of the dips. With regards to adding New attractions goes, decent Bumper cars i am thinking Lusse skooters. Maybe some flyers. A retro Dark house. Maybe an S&S double shot tower. I would hate to see Luna Park go theming rides. It would not be necessary because of the location and good decent amusement rides sell themselves.

  7. G day all Mitch Hawkers Internet coaster polls are considered among coaster enthusiasts as the only accurate and true coaster poll. Currently they are accepting ballots for Best Wooden coasters with all ballots to be in by 30th November. Soon after they will accept ballots for best steel coasters. I encourage everyone to vote even if you haven’t been on many coasters. Thanks Ed Follow this link to vote. http://BestRollerCoasterPoll.com PS I have done mine, my top ten wooden coasters Pheonix Thunderhead Hades Cornball Express Avalanche Beastie (Wonderland Sydney) Lightening Racer Ozark Wildcat Grizzly (Kings Dominion) Cyclops

  8. I actually didn't know that MovieWorld didn't have night time operations. I had presumed that they did. After checking their operating hours,I think its about time that they had night time operations.Thats not copying anybody. Most good amusement/theme parks all have night time operations. Night time operation allows people who work during the day to come down and enjoy the park after work or school. It much more pleasant to walk around the park at night. Rollercoasters run alot better at night than during the day.i for one was looking forward to riding Superman at night. It just creates a wonderful atmosphere that you can't get during the day.I think their mad not to have night time operations

  9. CedarPoint and Sixflags Great Adventure are good parks with some terrific coasters. Personally i am into the smaller parks like Dollywood and SilverDollarCity and Indiana Beach. I could spend a month in Wisconsin Dells. They have so much charm and Atmosphere you don't get anywhere else. But the two that i think everyone should get too at least once in their lives are Six Flag New England.Superman Ride of Steel is by far the best Steel coaster around. Plus the park is very run. Knoebels at Elsyburg PA. It has no real theming and doesn't look much absolute opposite to Disneyland but my favourit park due to the location, atmosphere, some of the best flat rides around and of course The Pheonix one of the best woody's on the planet.

  10. It would make it so much better if their wasn't any shoulder restraints. Can you imagine the outcry if they put shoulder restraints on Expedition G force or the Superman Ride of Steel Sixflags New England or even Dragster. There not needed.Intamin seems to be the only manufacture thats doing this.

  11. I personally hope for no otsr.Storm Runners are some of the most uncomfortable restraints around. I agree with Djrappa the accident in New England was due to Human error more so than Intamins restraints. I did note the seats on S ROS at NewEngland were flat and elevated. The seats on Total thrill Dragster were bucket and the restraint wrap around you like the BM clamshell restraints. There's no way you're going to fall out.Thats what they should have. Could have Intamin panic over this and decide to use otsr for all their launch coasters i hope not.

  12. You obviously haven’t been to Movie World :P
Yeah i have but didn't scare the living daylights out of me like the one at Knoebels did. Another reason i think it due to being still family owned and doesn't have the money to spend on rides like Disney,Sixflags,CedarFair,Paramount. So they spend there time making sure the rides are well maintained and preserve alot of character with the park. All i can say is save your money and check it out for yourselfs you would be surprised.
  13. That area you describe is a hell of a lot bigger than 30 hectares.  There is also the problem of the reservoir, the race track, dump, Regional Park, equestrian centre and heaps of private land in that corridor.  I was looking at the UBD today and there is very few places that it can be in. "The Bus is now leaving for Artipena Manganese Prospects, South Australia"
Off course its bigger than 30hectares.My point is that Disney would want more land than what would be available to them if they were to build their. I agree with your previous point about Camden or even out towards Wisemans ferry.
but many of their overseas parks arent much better than what we have. Also, you need to remember that SF tends not to be as nice as other park operators, think about it this way,
Please stop bashing Sixflags.Every Sixflag Park i have visited i have had no problems.Apart from Cedarpoint i would rate SFNE,SFA and Marine world above most Cedar fair parks.
