  1. What about the movie soudntrack - the saxophones etc?
    Its still very much there.
Being the massive Lethal Weapon fan I am I will be devastated if the re theme that area! The noises and the soundtrack set the scene for the ride fantastically!
  2. Well, if the rubber is actually "flying" into the crowd, it is a real safety issue. Debris could take an eye out, and the natural suggestion would be to place a fine mesh or netting across the lower levels. Of course this is if it isn't an over-exaggeration. As to the smell, it's a car stunt show - and in that vane, I would encourage the toughen up princess attitude.
I've been to the Summernats burnout competition and stood at the fence line for the past decade, even when the tires pop after 5 minutes of constant tire spinning and fly into the crowd the worst injury I've seen is a scratched face. I get what your saying but I think T-Bone might of been over exaggerating.
  3. Thirdly, I really don't appreciate chocking on the burnt out rubber from the cars as they do their stunts (and having the smell go all through my clothing), and bits of actual rubber from the tyres flying all over
Toughen up princess what way would you suggest they do to stop this from happening? Jesus Christ....
  4. Nathan, Mate, you don't need to go jumping down Clint's throat. Along with Joz, he oversees the community to make sure that the Parkz site, and WVTP can have a pleasant relationship. Your post stated "i took these at work from the tech booth". You didn't say you were on a break, and you didn't say you had permission. I know you know your contract, and I know the particularly good reason WHY you know your contract so well, but it can be VERY helpful to all concerned if you would post those specifics - such as "on a break" and "with permission" in the first place so that the powers that be know that it is ok. You were not around when WVTP got all online sites to pull EVERY image of their parks and trademarks and insisted that each one undergo "approval" by WV. It took a while for Parkz (R-C.com.au then) To re-establish such a good rapport and relationship with WVTP and it is only with their continued help and support, as well as the assistance of Rappa, Joz, Rabid etc that we continue this way. In future, may I suggest a response along the lines of "sorry clint, I meant that I took them at work while I was on a break, and my supervisor said it would be ok to take it from the tech booth" instead of jumping down the throat of the very person whose job it is on these forums to ensure all guidelines (both within the forum community, and that set by Warner Village) are adhered to. Mate you've provided some very helpful information, and some good pictures, but you need to adjust your attitude and realise that these guys are only trying to help... Anyone with "Community Leader" or "Site Leader" or "Admin" should be treated on these forums like your supervisor at work. If you treated your supervisor like you did these guys, you wouldn't have a job for long, no matter what "special connection" you have at the park. Now you know me, and you know what I'm like - so don't take this as a put down - just friendly advice, and remember:
    Touche.
  5. Does anyone remember the guy who used to hang around Ozcoaster back when SE opened. He rode Superman a million times the first few days it was opened? I just had a weird flashback of seeing him in line for the ride a few days after it had opened. He was so damn enthusiastic hahaha! Any other crazy Aus coaster characters?

  6. Well, for once google lets you down. Evo - Rear Wheel Drive Conversion Since we're talking about making "movies" nothing says they can't do the same conversion used for tokyo drift.
Sure thing mate. Do you really think I would google if Evo was a 4wd? Its common knowledge. Btw it looks like google is good to you, that link is the first thing that pops up when I google rear wheel drive evo. But yes, considering the amount of money being spent they probs did do the conversion.
  7. My guess is they're using the Evo's because they are small, lightweight with a good power to weight ratio. They're also a rear wheel drive, which is a necessity for achieving drift and slide maneuvers. Not to mention if you put a good 24 inch exhaust on them, they sound like a hotrod.
Dude, they are a 4WD, this makes them pretty ****y cars for stunt shows.....
  8. I made the trip down for the last show. The public were allowed in. They obviously had a large number of people in the crowd that had been involved with the show over the years, they also had all the current performers and crew that weren't in the show sitting in the stand on the side in uniform. There were several cameras from various media at the event, I noticed one from channel 10. They presented all current performers and crew at the end with a shirt and certificate and presented them in order of years of service. I managed to grab one of the shirts on the way out as they were selling a couple of them. I have a video of the entire final show and presentations and stack of photos that I hope to make available shortly. They also spoke a little about the new show and mentioned the area will be twice the size of the current space for the new show. Also spoke about the difficulty in the dicision to close the PASS and bring in something new. Was a little reassuring that they are aware of the high standard they need to meet. Jay
When this is released to the public I would love to view it mate.
