  1. Although "Luna Park Walt Disney World" would be just such a good name for the park. In all honesty I think they could do the place up a little more than it currently is at the moment, but it is afterall just a tacky little amusement park. But hey, they can clean it up a little and make it look respectable of course.
Well now that the new owners have taken over... im sure we will see the place done up.... they want to add new rides....Boot Pharos Curse, Metropolis and Twin Dragon!, oh and GForce
  2. Okay cool thanks for the website bluman! Does anyone know the australian company that owns Zipper, Tipan & Enterprize?
Shorts, Zacchini and Watkins own Zippers, Wittingslow still own their Enterprise, but no idea if it is still in Asia. The Pirate and Labamba are still there though. The Taipan is owned by shorts, they do three shows now. Wittingslow also sold their GALAXY to asia....shame, and Rainbow went to O'NEILLS (what a mistake that was) Sydney, Melbourne and Rye, in Victoria (Joint carnival with Wittingslow) Wittingslow have sold their Zipper to an independant owner. Action Events, dont actually own that Zipper, nor do they own that Kamikaze (stupidly named LAMA KAZOO on the site), Watkins own both of those rides... Action Events are like Advanced Amusements, independant owners put their rides on these sites, and Advanced and Action Events book the rides for clients www.advancedamusements.com chris
  3. Wittingslow no longer travel to any of the royal shows, they only do the rye beach carnival....they also no longer own the Zipper, and their Turbo got sold many many many years ago. But don't worry, BELLS AMUSEMENTS have bought the mighty CHANCE TURBO off Brooks, and it should be making its debut in 2006 at the Canberra Show....it must have had quite an overhaul! :D chris

  4. How Did I know. No Rainbow Again. Didn't show up at EKKA again. I didn't get to go this year.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well yeah I knew Rainbow wasn't going after the Easter Show, face it, O'Neills will never take it anywhere other than Sydney....very stupid for such a big ride! chris
  5. Awesome photos, good to see the following: Hangover has had a very nice refurb, including new lighting on the booms, hopefully they work properly, since the other lights were stuffed. Also the new main arm artwork looks nice, and it looks nice a white again. Interesting to see that Watkins have changed KAMIKAZE to yellow caps, not bad, but I prefer the blue, especially when the arm is still blue. Why are the tarps on the Chaos backwards....hmm Great to also see that the Cliffhanger now has the light sequences installed, very cool! Interesting to see the Genie figures on the Ali Baba, im very impressed....still doesnt change my opinion of the ride though..... thanks again for the photos. Chris

  6. The Ali Baba is very short compared to Rainbow which rises to 26meters, Ali Baba is about the same hight as the top cages on Zipper, so thats about 16.80meters...... The Ali Baba has been around for quite a while....I think 1994 or 5 was its debut...but don't make the comparison with Rainbow, as you don't get a great ride on Ali Baba, its very dissapointing! chris

  7. I know this isnt Ekka related, but I just thought id add it in, Heres the list for the 2005 Adelaide show, not looking too good.... > Simulator > Pirate Caves > Ghost Train > Mad Mouse > Gravitron > Mega Drop > Hangover > Scorpion > Miami Music Trip > Dodgems > Mega Mix > Breakdance > Ali Baba > Skymaster Wheel > Hard Rock > Fun Factory > Air Max > Roller Ghoster > Slingshot > Super Bowl > Sizzler > Techno Jump > The Claw > Twin Flip No zipper once again. But in other news, the KMG Tango is due for arrival in oz in November, and will most likely debut in sydney....im soo glad im going in 2006 :D chris

  8. i worked with the ranger, spider breakdance, ufo, tumble bug tristar. at darling harbour carnival for wittingslows, the poor things are nearly 40.they dont look good at the back.
Ranger is only 16..... and its in pretty good condition, looks wise...I hear differently on the operational side of it. The Rainbow has also been kept rather well, as Wittingslow purchased that direct from Germany! a very good investment! I feel sorry for them, how they have to see it nowadays, des and tom would be soo devastated to see their big Huss rides in the hands of other people! chris
