In the typical fashion of the English picturesque garden, there are numerous little 'episodes' to come across, such as the Chinese pagoda fountain.
If rides aren't your thing, you can wander around the spectacular gardens that started it all.
Only a small part of the drop is actually above ground.

One of the dominating features of the park is the very thing the park is named after; Alton Towers (Though it was formerly known as Alton Abbey)
