Next is another horseshoe turn, but lower and flatter.
After the horseshoe, its up into the next block brake, then down an interesting S-bend drop.
...And into a large horseshoe turn.
From the first drop, it's into a set of block brakes, a sharp turn, and then the biggest drop of the ride...
A suprisingly quick lift hill actually accellerates cars to the top.
At this moment the spinning mechanisim is unlocked.

The loading station.

Cars actually move through slowly without stopping, so guests are forced to jump on without procrastinating, keeping the line moving nicley.

Like all rides at Alton Towers, it is carefully slotted in below the treeline to meet local planning regulations.
It's themed to pinball.
Spinball Whizzer is a popular, intermediate thrill coaster.
The ride is a prime example of the UK custom of interesting, meandering queue areas...The ride is actually on the left, but the queue starts on the right, and crosses a bridge over the main path for the sake of it.
The rather nifty looking operators booth, fitting in with the post apocalyptic theme of the area.
Considering the climate of the UK, making a thrill ride wet is questionable.
It also bears the odd standard feature of these rides...Water jets to spray riders.
Ripsaw is a standard Huss Top Spin.
The open air station.
The rapids and mine train are constantly interacting with each other.
