Well I always thought of using a tunneling technique to create a vertical drop coaster's vertical drop going in to the edge of the lake(so not to disrupt Sturts Paddle steamer) and an overbanked turn coming out in the area in between Wiggles World or tiger island, lift hill going over the lake again supports not disrupting paddle steamer, theming it to lets say "tiger dive". Or to one of the animals in the Australian Wildlife expierience.

Hopefully movieworld will think about something like that for a service soon. Doesn't mean it's likely though

Pretty much, but this gives us a chance to make us sure about our views on the topic, and if there is a top official at Village Roadshow reading this, they might take the Thrill riders communities views in to account when choosing their next ride.Is it just me, or is this discussion going around in circles? -
Well if it's an intamin mega coaster theme it to iron man, Iron Man: The Ride some thing of about this size would be great. While not huge or record breaking Goliath, at Walibi world seems a thrilling coaster. A reason it's good is that it has a time of over 1 and a half minutes which is what we need at Australian parks. If they could redesign the Batman Adventure ride to fit in with a part of the Dark Night. If possible change the ride so it's the Batmoblie that is the vehicle you have the fun part of the ride in. If a ride with inversions is what you're interested in I suggest again a B&M sitting coaster, though cost might hold back our parks on something like that. Instead an intamin 12 inversion coaster themed to Justice league would be good. And by 12 inversion coaster, that would not only be a world first but it could be designed with a similar layout to this would allow for a compact lengthy coaster. Movie world also needs to add a new themed area, like DC comics area behind the Superman Escape, this could be where the 12 inversion Justice league coaster could go. And it would include the Batman area so everything could fit in place. I can't think at the moment of any other themed area's. Of course the introduction of a DC area(which would have many choices for merchandise) would mean no Iron Man themed rides. With the idea of a Where the wild things are simulator/anamatronics tour. That would fit almost perfectly in WB kids! Possibly replacing the river ride, therefore not taking up any of the space that they can save for larger rides. The Goliath at Walibi world (usable at many themes)

By the way The thrill ride thing at the top of poll is supposed to be an option, sorry.

Yeah that one may have been voted the best steel roller-coaster in the world, but how much did it cost?
-
I personally like B&M's. But I think that a B&M Megas may be out of the Price Range of Warner Village. I think maybe they should build another intamin like this

I ony hope the state government intervenes before it's too late.

Check out this recreation of Thorpe park

Just to say something about the disc battle, Blu-ray has average capacity of 25 GB, HD DVD has less space (not sure of exact amount). Also though it seems crazy, for those who don't think about technical stuff, people are going to believe that HD DVD is just another version of DVD and, there is already a sizable amount of Blu-ray movies, HD DVD at the moment has a limited range. And I've ruled out an Xbox because I have a PSP and a Nintendo DS.(PSP compatible with PS3, DS with Wii)
I thought I said the opposite!Sonic, If you like blood and gore i wouldnt suggest a Wii, and i wouldnt get a PS3 -
Early in the year isn't the perfect time, second last holiday of the year or boxing day. other than that I like the idea of that dinosoar adventure.
-
Well I am not personally about gore, I prefer addictive games, but I've played Assasins Creed on xbox 360 and it was fun, and I know you can get it on PS3. But the nintendo is a new way to play, still not swayed enough either way.
-
I've asked at Blockbuster and Video Ezy, but they just don't hire them out.
-
Well these are all good reasons, but I'm not finding out enough about the Wii to make a decision. Also I own a PS2, and my plan was to sell that to help pay for a PS3, because at the time it had backwards compatibility But since the 40 GB version(which isn't backward compatible) I haven't been sure, and I'm still not.

Do you have some info on this? But I agree Dreamworld just doesn't feel like it will put in anything big (for the time being), I find it soooo frustrating that we don't get something like this here in Australia. It would be perfect for MW. Or with this sort of dropPeople know Movie World will have Australia's first Bolliger and Mabilliard. -
I went to Dreamworld on Wednesday the 5th of December. Mick Doohan now has two trains running at full capacity, this time I left my harness loose and was able to ride without to much discomfort. But I could still feel the harness pushing on to my legs during the ride. As for the Cyclone, the queue is no longer on the inside of the spiral. inside is now how you exit, so now there is no theming until you're on your way out. You now line up on the outside where you used to exit. They have changed the painting at the ride entrance, seems to be a permenant change. Eureka mountain is all boarded up, the chairlift entrance is just as it was, other than that no changes.
-
Well Dreamworld just opened that new hirable hall. But at Movieworld(last time I checked) you could hire out the scooby castle, and be able to go on the spooky coaster.

FORUM CLOSED Big Thanks to all who have taken the trouble to help make my decision. Verdict: Nintendo Wii

I was thinking also about a redesigned studio tour, that would attract more international guest, for instance in the original studio tour you went to the riddlers lair, now I believe that was scary.
-
Are you forgetting that Expedition Everest cost 100 million dollars to create, our parks coudn't dream of something like that for at least 30 years. I reckon if they're in the market for something that can give you the feel of the ride, prior to the actual ride, like lethal weapon(which used to have a movie before you get on to set the scene)
-
I think that when next I go to Germany I might just check that place out, thanks shake!
-
I was looking at videos of it and it looked O.K. But it is a wet ride, water sprays at you.
-
Well That could be an idea for Dreamworld, but Movieworld's already got an accelerator coaster. But do any of you know whether in the recent announcements, if as part of that plan they are going to include a bigger change than the stunt show, because it seems time for another thrill ride.
-
It seems to me that Dreamworld have relied on the fact that it is new and an Australian first, to encourage people to go to Dreamworld. But they havent worked hard enough on theming, and the ride itself.
What's next?

I've been doing some work on paint, and this is my extension. The yellow area is the area already taken up by Superman Escape. The Red lines are ways to connect the DC area to the rest of the park, though the official entrances' would be at the entry Batman area and SE entrance The Yellow area is the new themed DC area proposal The Blue Line is an area for the coaster(though this could be extended further over the lake or over the studios) And finally the Grey area is a station area for the coaster.
