It's like this business doesn't know the first rule of making money.... " to make big money you got to spend BIG money "
-
Ok but remember these tips • have you asked richard ?
-
Someone has already tried to do it... http://www.australiancoasterclub.com.au/
-
Wasn't someone on here a while ago about how they made an Australian club or something ? EDIT: found it http://www.australiancoasterclub.com.au/
-
richard could I please ask why roller-coaster.com.au was changed to parkz?... sorry but I just found it easier to use?
-
Strop did you end up going? Also the log flume is definetly going ahead and will be themed very well and have a somewhat similar layout to Rocky hollow altough it will have a shorter ride part and same height drop Edit: does anyone know what ever happened to the old Billy carts ( downhill carts ) they had. My guess would be insurance would be too much

I don't believe there is a minimum but having 2000 shares or more gives you some sort of benefits 50% dw and www entry's and some other stuff ( q1, amf etc) but once again at 1.300 per share that should get about 700 something shares for $1000 so not enough to make a real impact anyway. Sorry that was a bit off topic...What is the minimum purchase for ardent shares anyway?
-
Well we should all buy $1000 dollars worth of shares and get our input into all those rich fat cats . Still I'd prefer them not to add a ride for 3 or 4 years and save up for a proper full circuit coaster not some one trick pony crapWhy won't they spend $16 million on a new ride now? Shareholders! They want maximum return for their investment. If you have a cheaper ride that will gain a similar amount of interest to a multimillion dollar mega coaster which do you think will be chosen?

Sorry to bring up a dead topic but the cause of the crash has finally been investigated only 2 years late... http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-national/tourist-chopper-crash-blamed-on-low-fuel-20110715-1hhd0.html

-
That traveling disk'o has been around for a couple of years And I never realised how high the ride will actually be until i saw those updates definitely a head turner for cars traveling down the highway will change dreamworld's skylineWhat is it with Australia and Disk'O rides this year? There's going to be one at the Ekka now too
-
Oh come on gazza they can obviously fit a bizarro clone there
-
Buzzsaw ? Think with a name like that it would be better off placed in rocky log hollow themed to an old sawmill .
-
He never said it would be extended...How do you know the Maurer coaster will be the extented skyloop?
-
Such as marvel superheroes or Disney ?Unless Dreamworld had a better deal with another company that may give more attendance.

Just checked movie worlds Facebook page they seem to have a monster truck show for June/July holidays...
-
It cost USD $9M. So it would be something more in movieworlds budget...I really wish DW would add something like Devil Dive Coaster. It seems like the perfect ride for the prak. Does anyone know the cost. I mean it is compact, got great capacity and some Australian firsts, as well as some interesting elements of the ride. It is also reasonably long. Ill keep dreaming i guess.

I'll take that bet and raise you a crunchieI'm willing to bet $20 it'll be the basic model with two inversions... Any takers?

I call shenanigans !With all the rumours about Looney Tunes River Ride, Lethal Weapon and Batman Adventure - The Ride 2 being replaced, refurbished etc., i'm just wondering why it is a complete coincidence that these are the only three rides currently featured in the 'Attractions Maintenance' page of Movie World's website: "The LOONEY TUNES River Ride is closed until further notice. LETHAL WEAPON will be closed for scheduled maintenance 3 - 15 May 2011 inclusive. BATMAN Adventure - The Ride 2 will be closed for scheduled maintenance 16 May - 26 June 2011 inclusive." I do notice that Lethal Weapon's scheduled maintenance is over according to the website so if it is getting a major refurb they probably have already started and now refurbing the theming and pre-ride entertainment (esp since they have closed the Lethal Weapon shop, the walkway between the Lethal Weapon and Superman Escape & the pre-ride stuff). Batman Adventure - The Ride 2 has started its maintenance & will finish it for now so I presume it won't be closed down unless they do something like with Bermuda Triangle. Does it really take 1 month to maintain Batman Adventure - The Ride 2 normally? Unless the 1 month time period is due to the construction out front. As for Looney Tunes River Ride, it could be refurbed or replaced. Who knows? Woo! My 100th post...lol

Does anyone else think it will look a bit out of place? I mean being themed to a deep sea adventure to a hydro energy plant. When the ride will be located in NC and not OP.
