I don't know where i got ninemsn from heres the link abcI think the point Terri is getting at is not to recreate Disneyland, but rather raise the profile of Australia Zoo as a place people would hold similar aspirations to visit. Aussie Kid: I wanna go to America to visit Disneyland! American Kid: I wanna to to Australia to visit Australia zoo. Of course, that sounds like wishful thinking (As DJ said) and at the end of the day its just a zoo, which IMO is a format a bit harder to elevate. With a theme park, there is pretty much no limit to how good you could make an experience and how inventive you want to be...with a zoo, you can basically make the exhibits look nicer and that's about it. I don't think we will be seeing Snake Mountain, Steve Irwin Adventure: Temple of the forbidden eye, or "it's a wild world" any time soon. Really to me, it will be a glorified effort to go after the overseas market. Can you give a link to that article? -
Are you serious last time i went i waited half an hour to ride the wild mouse And they have like 20 million in the bank
-
it was on ninemsn that terri irwin got an offer from an american compay to make australia zoo into a themepark but she denined

yer i was thinking of something else at the time but they have asked the council to clear land and GCC ave denied it because of protected trees in the area.No WVTP doesnt own the land behind DW and WWW. The Employee handbooks will tell you that much. Dreamworld Is currently occupying 35ha of an 85ha site. Plenty of room for expansion. -
I Think WVTP owns the land behind DW and WWW but aren't allowed to clear any of it because protected trees are in the area. And a churro stand in the shape of a churro - Keep Ocean Parade ... improve the theming to make it more islandish... add 2-3 other DECENT flat rides. - Keep Gold Rush area and incorporate Rocky Hollow into it. Improve level of theming, get rid of anything that doesn't fit into the concept. Open improved version of Eureka ride, add some tech to the rapids ride and improve theming on that. Put in a cost-effective but decent coaster (family woodie?) - Reopen and extend chair lift system to allow transport along the middle of the park. - Develop the island to a new themed area. Put in a landmark coaster not just an Australian-first for the sake of having an Australian first. - Boost Operations standards to get hourly rider capacity up and like 'dj' said, offer incentives for best ranked staff - Put a shooting dark ride where Blue Lagoon was/where the function centre currently sits. - Look at available land for expansion. -
sell it to WVTP along with WWW

They are Looking at A Mega or a Giga Coaster they are looking at building one doesn't mean there gonna build one p.s. sorry about the late replyWhat do you mean "think about it", there are loads of big rides out there, so that still isn't enough info for people to work out what you are on about. Do you mean this? I mean that is a big ride isn't it? Or what about this? Thats a pretty big ride too. See what I'm getting at? Don't be arrogant just because you know something. I'm with Myk, Ill believe it when I see it. And anyway, i doubt they mean what they say...Mick Doohans was said to be thrill ride, and it isn't, so when they are talking about a "big ride", I doubt it would even be 40m tall! -
Think about it its gonna be big think about half of us already knowWhy are you telling us to search for information if you can't even get it yourself? I'll believe it when I see it. -
About 2 weeks ago we had a Staff Meeting at WWW (White Water World) and they mentioned 2 new rides at DW that should be done by 2010 one of them is a kids ride but the second one i'm giving 1 hint hint " its gonna be big." if u can't figue out what its gonna be do some reasearch

i like that idea but Dreamworld won't build it 1. it will cost over $6 million lol 2. that would use so much wood and take forever to buildLike I said before, It doesn't have to be a Woodie that stays in one area, sorta like Superman, Cyclone or Lethal Weapon does. It could just have the station, Then it could go out into the bush, circle the Big Brother house etc. Hopefully DW would be cool enough to make it the longest Woodie in the world, maybe even the highest? -
yer your probally rightOkkies. Lol. I was only joking anyways. I highly doubt Dreamworld would even listen anyways.. So go ahead if you wish. -
No.... i'll say that Chaos maniac posted it and say he has some really goood ideas? And take full credit for my idea? -
I'll suggest it at the next staff metting and ill tell them about this websiteWell I think we would all agree Dreamworld needs a big come back or major updates? I've created this thread to see what people think of my idea and get peoples idea's for Dreamworld. Pictures, diagrams etc would be great. *Hopes Dreamworld management look at this thread* My idea follows:- Having a large coaster that loops around certain parts of the park, similar design to 'California Screaming' at California Adventure Park. Dreamworld lacks a good long coaster ride thats worth the line up and wait. I'd love to see a classic main-street coaster.
- Fixing up Goldrush and Rocky Hollow. I feel they need to eliminate the use of the bridges here to connect the two themed lands if possible. However, I feel they should ultimately combine the two into one themed area, by doing so they would temporarily close of GoldRush country and Rocky Hollow for construction and with the addition of a new indoor coaster in replacement of Eureka Mine Ride.
- Removing the chairlift station and poles. This is something that disturbs me. Why remove a ride and leave half or more still intact? Doesn't make sense. They need to remove these ASAP.
- Making use of the 'island'. Dreamworld should make use of the island in the middle of their river/lake. They should turn it into a new themed area. I'd like to see something themed around typical 'Americana' style. Before the Captain Sturt paddle-steamer was re-painted it perfectly suited my idea as it seemed a 'Mississippi River' style. I'd like to see some classic family rides on the island as well as some new innovative ideas. Ferris wheel - Great success at Sea world, love to see that there.. Maybe something similar to the Sun Wheel at California Adventure Park.
- Re-theming Cyclone, Tower Of Terror, Giant Drop and AVIS Vintage Cars (desperately needed here).
Anyways. Just my idea. What are yours? Come-on guys.

Hi, Next week www is having a staff meeting and have asked for suggestions for www and dw any for me to say? oh and by the way dw are doing a big clean up so don't suggest that.
-
Thank you Gazza for rephrasing me.Yeah, I had to re-read it, but its a rhetorical question, I'll rephrase it. "I think DW has enough room, don't they own all that land behind them? -
I think DW has enough room because don't they own all that land behind them
