  1. That's interesting brad, as I have done a little bit on branding and I have read that a low cost actually diminishes e brand in the eye of the public. With such a high standard at the moment, wvtp could afford to raise its annual pass and in doing so also increase the value of its brand and possibly make it even more of a draw card. I don't think they should raise the price until ltrr is replaced ur it makes business sense to do it.

  2. When I used the Q4U last time I was in the park I did think it was excellent. If the park is busy I think its a really good tool to help you get through the rides. In regards to which rides it is more beneficial I would advise those rides with lower capacity are the best. TOT2 being the only one that is standing out in my mind atm. The Q4u advises what the wait time is on the rides prior to you booking one in, but a little tip I have is if you show up a little bit early to your next ride sometimes the attendants will clear it and let you book in the next attraction. so you might have 5-10 minutes to wait at TOT2 in the standby queue to ride, but you could already be virtually waiting for the claw.

  3. An idea... Scanning your annual pass at the new jl ride will bring up your scores or store them centrally so you can scan them next time u visit to see how you are fairing? I would love to see a leader board type situation. This would encourage more people to buy passes, so every time u exit the ride u can see ur mugshot on a leader board with your scores. Have a daily, weekly, monthly and annual tally. It adds some competition and will bring people back to the park to ride more often. Link it through social media so you can post your score automatically on your wall and challenge friends to beat it. Just an idea I had....

  4. Ok, thanks for the responces.... I should have added a follow up question to this... How much money do you spend in park during a visit? Would a loyalty scheme (10 visits on ur pass and bring a friend for free, 10 visits and discounted merch/food on next visit) make u visit more often?

  5. Hi all, I have an question I am interested in asking. How often do you visit the parks as a guest? What keeps you coming back so often (or not so often?) Is there anything the park could do to get you through the gate more often? Would love to hear everyones opinions. I'll get the ball rolling. In the past 12 months I have only visited WVTP for media events so not really as a guest. With JL opening soonish I will be purchasing a WVTP pass and will try and get there before christmas! Because I had a Dreamworld pass I did visit a few times but not a whole lot. I think if i lived closer I would visit more often. I am fairly happy with the direction of both companys atm so they couldn't really do much to change that at this stage. Nate

  6. Does anyone know where the new big brother house is because it's definitely not in the old house. I went to dreamworld a few days ago and the old house is still dirt and rust and still has arts of the old house in it.

Hmmm... Not sure what u are referring to. The new house is in the same spot as the old house. You wouldn't have been able to get anywhere near the house as a general guest at dw
  7. So with big brother starting in 7 days any news on if dw are having any In-park big bro stay sit ins? I hear there is no live feed at all this year, so I guess that's out of the question. Didn't one year they have TVs in a cafe with live footage from the house? Or did I dream that up? I assume the house will be open for the obligatory tours after the series ends but are dw putting any effort into something else while the show airs? Answered my own question. From the dw site The Big Brother Experience Dreamworld’s newest attraction, the Big Brother Experience opens on 15th August 2012.  Have you photo taken in the Diary Room Chair Book your Big Brother Live Show Tickets Have your photo taken with a Big Brother Evictee each Sunday Book your Big Brother guided tour to see how all the action of Big Brother is captured. Walk through a simulated camera run, tour the Big Brother Studios where the live shows are broadcast and stand in the places made famous by show host Sonia Kruger for a photo to take home ($10 additional fee for tour/complimentary for unlimited pass holders). Interesting that the tour is free for unlimited pass holders. I would have thought dw would have jumped at the chance to charge everyone and not just every day visitors

  8. The ambitious plans unveiled include a casino, as well as a hovercraft station, an international airport, a convention centre, a water park, a beachside amusement park, a wildlife park, a hotel with thousands of rooms and an aquarium Read more: http://www.news.com.au/business/clive-palmers-hovercraft-plans-with-casino-complex-on-the-sunshine-coast/story-e6frfm1i-1226442168966#ixzz22RlnzYfp

So... do we think this will happen??
  9. I spent about 4 Days total there and that was more than enough for me. 1 day universal 1 day orchard road and botanical gardens 1 day wandering the different little cultural sections of Singapore. Little India, an Arab area ect ad just doing out best to get lost. And then we spent the last day back on sentosa island wandering around all the tourist traps. We also went to the casino one night which was pretty amazing. Sinapore has one of those hop on hop off buses which we utilised for two days. Very easy way of getting around. When we travelled there the taxis were pretty good. We were warned to be wary of cabs from the airport so we prebooked a hotel transfer. When we arrived at the airport a very creepy man followed us whispering that he would give us a lift to our hotel so steer clever of them. Another thing I was told to be wary of were the organised factory bus shopping tours. Apparently the shops they take u to are very forceful in their selling techniques. It was an enjoyable trip but I won't be heading back to Singapore in a hurry. The only reason I would wander back would be to go back to universal. To be honest I was a little underwhelmed by every thing else.
