  1. California’s Great America in Santa Clara now has an expiration date.

The park operator Cedar Fair announced Monday that it sold the land and ultimately will close the park.

The company sold the land for about $310 million to San Francisco-based company Prologis.

They also said they've signed a deal with the buyer to continue to run the park for "up to 11 years" before finally closing it down at the end of their current lease.

In a statement, they said the park should continue to look and feel the same to visitors -- at least in the short term.

Yeah sorry, I've practically seen all his videos, hes shown other Alpine coasters before with him on them, and also if I remember correctly, one of those bike like ones where you pedal yourself?

As he said in the originally linked video, its not the height, speed or movements, as hes been in fighter jets and done other 'extreme' stuff, its just the initial drop.

I've seen them all too. I'm just reciting what he said in his comments.

  3. To add to the JL problems and don't know if i mentioned this yet, but each screen was doing something different. Your 3 alleyway scenes had 1 screen off but still taking points, 1 in 2D and the other was over 3D'd. Like for that to work you would need to view it from the car park. The ghosting was bad even with the glasses on. Then the others set on the ship were all 2d.

Why they opened today (any VRTP  property) is kinda surreal to me.

I would have thought the safety of the workforce then guests was more important than rope drop.

I know VRTP use a really good weather software program that predicts forecast rain, storm etc.

Maybe I'm just more in the thought of trying to keep the workforce warm and dry.

I went to SW/MW today and 3 kids rides, battle boats and storm were open at SW, all exhibits bar SJ were also open. Vortex tested once, but that was it from the others. I only had 20 minutes in MW, but rivals and doomsday appeared to be the only things closed. Could see lights going down LT way.
