  1. Yep, exactly. Unless this goes steeper than 45 degrees (Or whatever the standard proslide Tornado drop angle is), then it's not the steepest, simple as that. Average gradients over distance etc don't count for anything, or else we'd be saying that Kingda Ka is the worlds 'steepest' coaster because it drops through 127m of height in the space of 200m or so of travel distance.

For comparsions sake here's Funnel Web and Monster (I'm gonna call it that for the time being) side by side.

The one at Jamberoo just has harder harpins turns on the top section so the turns are crunched into less space, whereas the one at Adventure World is more of a gradual zig zag. And at the bottom the Jamberoo one has a spiral straight into the pool, whilst the Adventure World has that wide u turn that places the pool further away from the Funnel.
Plus the bonus drop at the top that adds a bit of extra length too.

It seems kinda rude to talk negatively about this ride when the CEO has given us all the time of day to sign up here and give us inside info.

  2. Cedar Point has always been a standout for me, all of those coasters in that space. SFMM is another must for this reason.

I love the look of the park at Busch Gardens TB and the dark rides at Universal Studios.

King's Island has always appealed to me as well, I love the setting and there are some great looking rides there.

More recently, people's descriptions of Dollywood have seriously gotten me interested.

Shame all these good parks are spread out all over the place. It seems multiple trips are in order.

The USA is like my dream destination in terms of theme parks. One day, one day. #whenigetthatdreamjob

  3. So 14 years ago (i was 12 at the time), my dad and i went on the flume ride at Seaworld, only to have our boat dispatched immediately after the boat ahead of us. To add to our horror, a boat was dispatched behind us as well. My dad (not a big rides person) was freaking out and obviously thought there would be some type of collision/crash on the slide down. On the conveyer belt up, dad jumped out of the boat and landed on the stairs adjacent to the hill and then hoisted me out of the boat to "safety". Unbeknownst to us, there was a safety mechanism at the top of the slide going down that would have prevented all boats going down at once, which two ride attendants told my dad as if it were common knowledge. Needless to say, the ride was shut down for a good half an hour and we were blamed for it.

It was actually a pretty scary experience, mainly because my dad was freaking out about it and when he was hoisting me over the boat to the stairs, it was quite dangerous.
