  1. Are there any tricks that are really different from the old show?

There were some new tricks but mainly the same as previous dolphin shows. The main new ones would be the paddle board jump and the slide out.

Do they still have that meet and greet time for kids

Yep only one child now. They pretty much do a couple of splashes at each other than its over.

The old music was pretty upbeat.

Yeah I guess it was but theres something about the new soundtrack that I just like better lol.

Those beach shacks look a bit on the cheap and nasty side. Do they tie them in to the show's narrative?

They are more there as just the set. Dolphin Cove has now been rebranded as Dolphin Beach hence the shacks, hammocks and surfboards.

Yes happy to have you quote your review here but do not use this thread to basically advertise your site.

Just curious why we see this review when the rest of the White Christmas and AOS review never happened?

Ok will do next time. The AOS Review will come out tomorrow morning and White Christmas later the same day. I have been pretty busy lately. The Affinity one came out early as I tend to write them there at the media event. For White Christmas and AOS they fell in a time where there was either more footage or pictures to edit or I had events on, I work in the AV Industry and this is usually our busiest time of year.

  3. Ok so maybe not everyone is as good as you when typing on a phone. Sorry we can't all be as good as you.

All you said was that there was an About Us page. Last time I checked pretty much every site has one. Would you like links to my OWN content? because it sounds like you couldn't find any.

  4. Brad I'm sorry but I don't know what site you were visiting. Would you like me to supply links as again you sound like you were to lazy to actually visit the site.

    Anyway...

iwerks covering AOS has been quite difficult for the fact that we haven't had an opportunity to film and take photos that Im aloud to release yet, hopefully this will come in the coming days.

I haven't actually seen the final product and a FULL show yet but I have seen majority of the seen during rehearsals and what not, I enjoyed watching them and they were still adding to the scenes. I have seen the full Circus scene and it is quite impressive.

  5. Hey Iwerks, It wasn't actually you I was referring to you... but anyway. The new show is split up into a number of different "stories". One of these being about a girl who was sold to a circus, hence that picture. The other one is of the Omeo Ghosts.

Below are the descriptions to the two sections. There are 5 main stories. They show has been designed so they can remove one section and add a new one.

If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask and I will try answer them or get the answers for you.

    May Wirth (1894-1978)

From humble Bundaberg beginnings to ‘the world’s greatest bareback rider’ at 17. The remarkable May Wirth was “adopted” by circus performers at age 7 and toured the world entertaining crowds with her astounding equestrian skill. May retired at the peak of her career in 1937 and was added to the Circus Hall of Fame in 1964. See the legend come to life before your eyes…

    Road to Omeo Ghosts

The Omeo Highway is 157km of uninhabitable road connecting north-east Victoria to Gippsland via the Victorian Alps. Legend has it that 150 years ago a stage coach carrying four passengers missed a sharp turn in the road, plummeting fifty metres to the creek below. It’s now said that on cold, misty nights, eerie glimpses of a ghostly coach can be seen, still travelling the road looking for lost souls and safe passage to Omeo.

  6. Being a Mobile DJ doesn't really count as being in the AV Industry. Anyway I rode Scooby a couple of times yesterday with no issues with them "hurting my eyes" the were as bright as any normal LED fixture including the ones used on Movie Worlds normal rig and I have never herd anyone complain about the lights at Fright Night, White Christmas or Carnivale hurting there eyes. The was minimal haze in one spot of the ride but there was no where near enough to set off any of the alarms in the building. The lasers are currently Multi coloured with a few Gobo's (Shapes) on them. There are four in total although I have herd that they are planning on installing more in the future. The LED strips are all back and some have been replaced.

  7. Heres my Carnivale Review.

I have now experienced Carnivale twice, visiting on the 20th and the 21st of June with both of them being totally different experiences. This review will be organized into three main category’s which are the Music, the Food and of course the Parade. I will then talk about the other entertainment offered at Carnivle.

The first night I was there taking photos and video while trying to experience everything Carnivale has to offer. Then on the second night I was there to have even more fun just riding the rides and experiencing the night as a normal visitor.

So let’s start off with the food.

    The Food -

To say the least the Food was Awesome. During the 2 nights I tried the New York Style Pizza, a Grannies Sour Apple Mock-tail Drink, a piece of Key Lime Pie and a serving of Curly Fries with Bacon and Mayo. Everything I ate at Carnivale was great, all the food was way better than the standard everyday theme park food. The prices were a bit on the steep side but it was defiantly worth it. The Pizza sold at Mama Jax’ Pizza was $8 but the pieces were huge. The Cocktails were great, there were 3 flavours which were Granny’s Sour Apples, Peach Passion Punch and Banyou Berry Blast, these were all $7. Each serving of the Key Lime Pie included Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Cherries these were sold at Dixie Die’s House Of Pie among other pies as well. The last thing I tried was the Curly Fries. There is a bit of a process with this one when ordering with quite a few choices. When you first arive at the stand or in this case caravan selling them you are asked to pick one of the three choices of chips which are Sweat Potato, Crinkle or Curly. You can then choice Toppings and or Sauces. The Prices are $7 for just chips than every sauce you get is $1 and every topping you get is $2.

    The Music -

Throughout the night there were bands placed all around the park creating a great atmosphere. My favourite venue was the Gotham Stage. It was a great place to just sit down and relax, take everything in and even have a bite to eat. There were a few different acts in this stage, mine being the Blues Brothers Tribute Band who were playing some of their well known songs.

    The Parade -

WOW, JUST WOW. The parade that Movie World has put together for Carnivale was just amazing. In total there was # floats, all of them feature animated parts like the crocodile closing it’s mouth and the jester moving his head. This is truly one of the best parades I have ever seen and is up there with parades that are featured everyday in some if the most popular overseas parks.

    The Entertainment -

There was so much more entertainment beside the parade and the music. As soon as the rope dropped at the nights Opening Moment Main Street was flooded with Stilt Walkers, Fire Jugglers and other characters. From that point on they were in and out the rest of the night entraining everyone in the food plaza and the rest of the park. Over in the Kids’ WB Fun Zone there was a small stage set up where kid friendly entertainment would preform most of the night, these acts included Jugglers and Musicians. The Looney Tunes gang was also meeting and greeting in the area throughout the night. Silk Acrobats, Fire Jugglers and Dancers were also performing randomly thought the night mostly in Main Street. In my opinion if there was none of these performances the middle part of the event would be a lot more boring. Although there was bands and the parade at the end of the night it was good to have a bit of different entertainment that you don’t find daily in the park.

That concludes my Review of Carnivale 2014 at Warner Bros. Movie World
