  1. Most of the production will be done from purpose built OB trucks, which do not fit within the building anyway. Sure you will have spaces for the production team on the ground, most likely your camera department, and possibly some producers, but everything else will be from trucks.
  2. That was always a simple option, the fibre runs from the old house were far far longer. I think the part that was always in question was more the size of the building, and the free areas next to it. A production of this scale is going to require multiple OB trucks, ancillary buildings for production teams and so on. There isn't really any space for any of that around the DEC. It would've made far more sense to have had the house in the expansion plot next to WWW, all of the support around that space, with the live shows being held within the DEC space. It all feels very backwards.
  3. The main reason why this is the case, is actually due to the seatbelts locking pin. If a guest puts the clasp in incorrectly, doesn't fully latch and then removes it, the locking pin was potentially triggered and pushed up into place. That means that the clasp can't get past it, and lock into place. Only way to resolve that, is to reset, and start the process again.
  4. Well I guess we know where the canceled light rail funding is going.....
  5. Or... they've investigated the issue, now have to sit and wait for the manufacturer to sort it out. Meaning you now have more crew with nothing to do.
  6. When it first launched and for quite a few years after that, it would crash through a set of fake bricks, that formed a wall that hid the hole. Show Techs would have to rebuild this after every show.
  7. Containers for Change; I believe they then donate a portion of the funding back to the Sea World Foundation.
  8. This space is not big enough for everything required either. It's not feasible to have all of the auxiliary production elements in the space around the DEC or Gold Coaster. They're also saying there will be a live audience again, so where would this be housed? October through December is also always FULL of corporate events which book that space.
  9. Kinda defeats the purpose of the embedded interactive map then, hey?
  10. Not sure where you're looking mate, but see screenshot... still showing the old map.
  11. and when we got it, it was just the old one....
  12. Pitty they haven't updated the actual Dreamworld map though.... still shows construction zones and dead end pathways.
  13. If people were still considering visiting the Gold Coast up until DW posting that they were closing, that level of stupidity is on them. Commonsense would say, don't visit due to the forecast, not what theme park announces their closure last...
  14. Considering the old Aqualoop tower, and multiple supports are still standing, I'd say the chances of new slides using the same tower/infrastructure are pretty high. Assuming they'd be White Water West slides if that's the case too.
  15. It feels like such a scummy thing listing the AfterPay pricing front and centre.
  16. There's a difference with running the exact same boat with different theming, than running a fundamentally different vehicle from what you intend on operating when open? The point is, Dreamworld's website is still saying "brand new vehicles" yet their CEO has said they're not getting new ones, besides 2 for accessibility reasons, and that they would just be rebuilding the current ones. What we're seeing in Ogre's photo is literally solidifying this point...
  17. It's almost like I flagged this a month ago, and was shut down as it being false. Wouldn't you do that with one of your new vehicles if you had them? Does not serve any good purpose running a different vehicle to what is intended.
