Last night we were able to get all the mazes done with a thirty minute downtime to get food and drinks with no fast track pass to the mazes- We arrived at the park at 3:30pm to start lining up at the turnstiles and were essentially one of the first groups to get IT done
• To anyone going to Fright Nights tonight or within next few weeks
Best order to get them done are by:
IT
Zombieland
Doll Haus
Leatherface (if everything goes to plan, you should be finishing LF around 8ish at this time)
then House of Kain
We then tried to get Scooby done after Kain but they shut the queue off just as we approached the ride so we got one ride on Batwing and then watched the closing ceremony
• As to the comments about the lack of the characters around the precincts and mazes this year I’ve seen on here, I think it was a safe bet when you are adding another maze to your line up, there will be definitely cutbacks to the amount of the characters around the park or in the maze, this all seems to be a shock to everyone on here with this, but was very well expected from the get go when five mazes were announced.

What was the best out of the 5 mazes?
From my experience tonight - note as this is the first night, this will change throughout the event but as it stands imo..
1) IT - Obviously where the money went to this year and it shows.. definitely the most advanced maze they have done, Feels like you are in the films
2) Zombieland - just outbeaten by IT - I walked in with low expectations with this one but was surprised with what they had to work with but definitely the shortest maze there - had perfect runs each time in this one
3) Doll Haus - Put my expectations a little high with this one as I was impressed with Kain last year and was expecting to be just as great as HOK - It is great, but you really have no clue what’s going on in the maze as it’s all thrown in your face, the action, queue should have a backstory posted so then it could flow with everyone
4) HOK - I wish this was higher on the list as it was my favourite maze last year, lacks the charm I feel that the maze had last year. I was surprised with how much with the original maze was kept and not altered from the Show Stage to the sheds
5) Leatherface - You are not missing much if you skip this one, it’s the same concept that has been done in previous years and but adds nothing new to it

Hey guys! I know my name hasn’t popped up here in a long time I like to apologize for my actions and I do want to make an announcement that apparently movie World is actually going to update the Scooby Doo ride in November https://movieworld.com.au/park-info/maintenance-schedule I am not sure what they have planned but honestly watching the videos online I hope they really improve the special effects because for chrissakes a PlayStation 3 game can do better than the ride can at this point in time.
It will just be General Mainteance
Not long enough timeframe if they were to update it

Popped into WWW to check on repaints and Fully Six
The pictures uploaded of the slide repaints on here do not do any justice, they are looking incredibly fresh and makes the park feel new again
Anyways, few pictures of BRO which I really hope they keep the colour scheme of that they have below
I couldn’t express my disappointment though that the Dreamworld Express wasn’t open at WWW, massive deal breaker for me

I checked into Dreamworld today and gave The Monster a go
I must say I was really surprised with how fun I had with this, it’s definitely not just for the kids, I saw a lot of parents/adults getting a kick out of it and I found it took a lot of energy out of you if you try to speed run the course.
Do give this a try if you are heading into the park for the next two weeks, especially worth it if you are a Passholder as you get free admission, or if you are popping into the Happy Halloween events, which I will certainly be attending
Anyways enjoy some unedited photos on my end 😊

In your last photo I feel there was a sign advertising the pizza and pasta portion of the buffet.
Has anyone been there yet to report what the new offering is like? If only ParkChat Live was still around, we could have had a full hour episode review!
I believe they are waiting on more promo shots to be done that they will place at that spot, they originally had pictures advertising pasta and pizza.
I haven’t been inside and ate yet, if you been into Ricks since October of last year, it’s exactly the same as that but I think they have cut down on the amount of pizzas available

I do wish they could use the show stage again for a maze, but hopefully they live up to the quality of last years !
Yeah unfortunately I believe that time is up with Show Stage hosting mazes
I believe they could be using some of it for Grave Death Experience though, but don’t quote me on that as it’s lisiting is slightly off the building on the map like all the other mazes

Thank you for the constant updates sir
All of the slides are looking fantastic and greater than ever
Hydrocoaster and RIP are looking the most fresh and loving their colour scheme
I look forward to BRO, Temple and Rippers repaint

Maze locations have been revealed on FN website
IT - Dodgems
Zombieland & Doll Haus - Jigsaw and Halloween Shed
House of Kain and Leatherface - FDTD Shed
Not sure how to feel about them doing two mazes in the same shed again, but I sincerely hope either Kain or Leatherface are not being scaled back this year as it is the first time they have done two mazes in that shed

I just read on the website that they’ll have scenes from both films. I wonder where this maze will be located ?
Dodgems is where it’s been talked about atm
If they were to put it in the other sheds, it would just make the whole area crowded/clustered so it makes sense to have this one tucked away from the others

How does the queue logistics work with 6 slides on the one tower? I assume there is only 1 staircase to the top of the tower?
So is it just a single queue that forms and it is pot luck which slide you get to ride when you reach your turn, where they point you to the first available slide? If you want to wait for a specific slide, but multiple people are already waiting for the same slide and multiple people already waiting on each of the other slides, the queue could could get very messy.
Or are there mini queues at the the top of the tower assigned to each slide, that 4 or 5 people could wait in and you just join that back of the mini queue when directed for the slide you wish to ride? And you just let people past who want to ride other slides.
I assume it will be just like the River Rapids queue at WNW
Mini queue at the top of the tower

I wanted to take the time to compile all my thoughts from my first few rides on Sky Voyager on Saturday.
For those who don't know, I have riden Soarin at DCA and Epcot and they are both fantastic rides. (I haven't riden any other Flying Theatre Attractions) So I was very keen many years ago, that there were talks that Australia was going to get it's very first Flying Theatre attraction. December 2017 was when the dream (no pun intended) came true and we would have our very own Flying Theatre come to our very own shores but mainly in particular Dreamworld.
Hearing the news on Friday morning, that after a whooping nine months of extra waiting after it's
supposed'ambitious' opening in December 2019. I quickly jumped online and renewed my Dreamword pass, which I was awaiting to renew when the attraction would open. The next day I arrived at Dreamworld at 9am, as I was unaware of what crowds I could be expecting on the day and would hope not to be waiting that long for the ride. I was the first person to ride the attraction/first cycle on the day and got the top row - gondola 4. (Great to see @Slickdoing his stuff and having a chat with him afterwards btw) Everyone on here that has posted an review, has covered pretty much of what leads up to the ride, and I, share the same opinions that I've seen online, *pre-show bad, pre safety video not informativ blah blah*I knew what I was going to expect from SV, What I had in my mind prior to riding was SV is still a going to be a great ride experience as Cutting Edge and Brogent would deliever the goods, but defs not on the same level as Soarin. If you go in with those expectations, you will get a kick out of it, which is exactly what I got.
The first ride I had on SV, I got distracted with I thought it was at the time, a tear in the bottom right screen (turns out it was just an emergency exit light shinning through) so I didn't get the best first ride experience. The 2nd ride was way much better. I was on ground floor - gondola 2. This is definitely my favourite attraction that is there to offer at Dreamworld at the moment till ol Blue Fire arrives next year. Like others, I won't spoil the ride experience because it definitely requires you to check it out in person, because words can't describe how great these attractions like SV is.
While SV is a very great ride, everything leading upto sitting down in your gondola is agruably what puts me off from coming back and back to do this and I hope like everyone else is feeling, it gets addressed in the future.
SV has made me very optimistic for Dreamworld's future for the next few years, with Mack Coaster and the WWW slides coming within the next months/late next year, the future is looking indeed bright. DW's announcements last Friday alongside this residing positivitly with consumers is nothing but a win for the industry. It is a shame it had to take three years after the events after 2016 for the park to get something major but nonetheless it is bloody worth it, just wish it came earlier.
