I think he means the notch made above to allow it to fit.

Is it for lifting the pod out?

No idea on GL but when the Mrs was bigger we found the front row of each car on SE had more gap between the line and buckle than the back row. Back row required a bit of assistance from load staff.
Might help someone if they are concerned.

why did ROTM affect Scoob? I mean I get they're both dark ride coasters, but they're very different... not disagreeing with you just curious how you took that view.
I'm more a thrills person.
What impressed me most was how well the track switch was actually done, had to Google it after.
I wear glasses so miss a lot on Scooby as it's smaller props. I also find the wild mouse section uncomfortable. Watching the "lights on" TPR video reveals that I miss lots.

Revenge of the Mummy, took some of the fun out of Scooby for me. Awesome ride.
Transformers, I don't do motion simulation very well, apparently was quite ill looking when I met up with the wife afterwards. Still seriously contemplated going straight back on.

Spider tiger just doesn't work as well "spider pig"

JR was my pick, unique and fun. The second section with the tight banking is what tips it over the accelerators for me.

Somewhere in the world, an alarm just went off in Push's study that a hot word has been detected in the forums...
Thought my Monorail comment might flush him out
For the record I've got no problem with Push or his passions (as a train person I have no right to throw stones
) just being light hearted.

Those complaining about distance from the car park to the gate have never been to a US park. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and even Magic Mountain to a point have car parks that aren't exactly close to the entrance. They run a shuttle bus from the entrance to the car park at both parks.
Alton towers has its monorail system.

Looks like an interesting concept. It's definitely something that personally appeals to me, but I doubt it'll be everyones cup of tea.
Think bucks parties, boys weekend's that sort of thing. I have no interest in guns, but enjoyed a day out at Belmont range for a mates buck's day.
Another mate is into golf, I've got no interest in it, but would give that a go with a few drinks etc.

Actually, nearmap images of those houses prior to the storm (only a MONTH prior) show there was a good 15 metres between the beach and the pool. In almost any approval process - 15 metres would be sufficient. Who would imagine the ocean would wash away FIFTEEN METRES of soil, grass and trees?
An environmental engineer perhaps?

Space Mountain Paris was a interesting experience. We'd ridden it just before, and found out the final brake run was vicious on the shoulders. Lethal Weapon was gentle in comparison.
So I had braced ready for it, when we hit them it was "that wasn't as bad as last time" then whack into the emergency brakes, which where worse! That section was pitch black, then the music and sounds stopped in the whole ride. My brother's first comment was "well at least the other train has stopped". The lights came on fairly quickly. After about 5 minutes the we could hear staff around the train, the track was elevated so we could just see their heads. They spoke to us a little bit. They must have evacuated the other train first as it would have been up in the second lift area.
He got our camera out filmed a bit of what was going on, the restraints made it difficult to get much footage.
Eventually they unlocked all the brakes and the car drove slowly into the station. Our stepdad had been waiting, apparently they wouldn't tell him what was happening.
Apparently it does that with some regularity.
It's the only e-stop I've experienced personally, TOT has overrun once before my ride, and mislaunched a few times. Been on one ordinary launch, they drove us back and then "sorry guys, ready to go again"?

As seen in the video on the previous page...
Physically climb below the track and release each set of pads, maybe 8 sets at a guess.
Rembering Space Mountain Paris is a completely different ride to the rest of them.
-
Except when Space Mountain Paris. Where stuck in the emergency brakes (after the final brakes, before the station) for at least 30 minutes.
It appeared each brake needed to be manually released.
-
I assumed the brown "skids" between the tracks in the station where part of the charging system, like seen on other rides with audio.
Been a while since I've ridden it, if my description is off.

Most likely. The fill for the new runway at Brisbane needs to settle for about 4 years before runway and taxiway construction can start.
Different loads (landing A380 vs foot traffic) but similar concepts.

Honestly, how hard is it to get core facts right? I wonder what other industries have these basic fundamentals cocked up on a regular basis.
Illegal Street Racing is constantly called Drag Racing.
Big differences between the two.

Haha, or one of the worst I've seen if you're an elevator phobe like me. Yeahhhh no thanks! I find the one in Q1 hard enough to swallow when I do occasionally get dragged up there with family. The less I see, the better ???
My wife is claustrophobic and we went up Q1. About half way some smart ass goes "has anyone seen 'Speed". It was all I could do to stop there being a murder!

Whoops, oh well, there goes an early retirement

I think if you can take traditional Boardwalk carnie games and turn it into a shooting dark ride game you can play with a laser blaster using practical sets then you might be on a winner.
Excuse me for a moment, just off to register some trademarks and patents

I'd suspect TOT throws a set amount of energy at the car and it goes as high as it goes. Perhaps that is why it "looses" the car occasionally.
I thought Superman pulled until the track sensors picked up that it reached a certain speed. Using the "seat of pants o-meter", on half full trains it feel like it accelerates harder but comes off the launch car earlier. Just my observation.
-
If you want a "pier" style to it, why not combine different carnie style games? A mash up of the little trailer mounted games from sideshow alley.
Shoot ping pong balls into clowns mouths, pick (instead of catch) the fish, lucky dip (shoot at little doors that then spin to reveal a score).
The more points the better the reward, like a 10% off voucher, free drink, free meal, etc
